    Son: Dad what is Christmas?

Dad: Its a Japanese tradition to go in debt buying crappy Prada and Vuitton presents and eating Kentuky Fried Chicken.

    Son: I dont get it.

Dad: This is uniquely unique Japan. This is our holiday to prove it to the world.

    Son: Asouka.

Wow what a heart touching story. She is such a tower of strength and courage.

    > “I always make sure I am home by dinner. Whenever I get some free time, I love to drink wine with my friends who are also moms, or go to the gym.”

Not only a great humanitarian but a wonderful mother as well. She should get the best momist award.

Japanese are taught not to refuse overtime work, it will get them on this bosses bad list and bullied by fellow workers. Thats why I love being a foreigner, at 6pm all you see is my back going out the door. My boss asked me about it, I said pay me overtime and I'll stay, if not I'm gone at 6pm. Let the sheep pretend to work until the boss decides to leave. My boss has said to me before, some nights he stays until 10pm because he knows he can and also to see who leaves before him.

Right on Badsey! As my dearly sainted dad advised me "Wear a wet suit before taking the dive in". I only wish more dads would advise their sons and daughters of this. Condoms save many lives and prevent the spread of disease, they are not 100% effective, but it is better than nothing.

He will be forced to bow several times, apologize tearfully and beg not to be tossed aside. To which a major will ask him to show an open hand and smack it lightly with a ruler. Then he will be ordered to take his thumb from his mouth and get back to duty.

Not just the stench, but the fact nobody reported it or looked for the cause of it. I just have to shake my head some times.

If it would go to work for me as well so I could comment all day on JT I would love it. Oops, here comes the boss, have to close this window.

Dad: Ah Takakun look at the trees.

Son: Dad who are those people in the blue tents?

Dad: What people? There are no people. Look at the pretty trees.

Son: No, dad. Those people there, look.

Dad: Takakun, there are no people understand.

Son: Ahhh, the hone - tatmae thing.

Dad: Exactly, look at the pretty trees.

    Son: Soudesu ne. Kirei desu.

Then he slipped the check into his shirt pocket with a sanctimonious grin...

At that moment the swimmer was transformed into the best satisfactionist, the new super tarento of Japan. Lets go fun time McDonalds!

“It’s big pressure on me as an ambassador, but I will do my best on my journey.”

Yeah, the pressure Shintaro himself will have your ba**s if you fail, good luck Mr. Ambassador. Hedge your bets and begin soprano lessons.

Of course they are, many here drink away their sorrows on a daily basis. The number of passed out oyagi has incresed 2 fold in my home train station since September and increases in numbers on daily basis. I use they "drunken oyaji meter" to measure how things are. All of them have their Lawson bag in their lap.

Local groups have to because the National Government won't do anything. Aso will of course complain that he is paying taxes to keep HIV patients alive.
