And her "talent" now is? She isn't acting, singing, or even giving the standard opinion on TV for women as: oishii!, Honto?, Kawaii! What qualifies for "talent" here?

Don't matter how much money you got, there's only two kinds of people: there's sober - uptight people and there's laid back people. I don't care if its alcohol, caffeine, tobacco, or reefer - people find a way to unwind and relax. People should becareful of throwing stones. You are as much an addict if you depend on that "first cup of the day", need that "first smoke of the day", need that "drink to calm my nerves", or anything else. Everybody has an addiction. Welcome to life in the real world.

All over the world right now billions are toking, drinking, and /or smoking something. Icluding the holieer than thou religious.

Nothing says peace on earth and goodwill toward humankind like a big, fat, expensive piece of jewelry. Peace and love don't last, but diamonds are forever.

How about real life security guards with radios that can contact the police. Empolyment opportunity for unemployed people; or ojiisans and obaasans to pad their retirement income. The pepper spray thing worries me as much as a pistol. Especially if they are not trained to use it properly, the story didn't mention that.

When my 9 year old daughter was an infant my wife and I always put her in a proper car seat. In Chicago at the time it cost $75 at Sam's, but the cost was nothing compared to the safety. From 3 to now if she isn't buckled, we do it for her. If she is 40 and is my car, it will be the same, if she doesn't buckle, I'll do it for her. My car moves no where until EVERYONE is buckled up.

With that said, I cannot blame the father too quickly, perhaps the boy buckled up in the driveway, and then unbuckled along the way. When driving it is impossible to keep constant attention on your child. One reason I always have my angel in the back seat, I can check on the rear view and her at the same time, but 100% attention is impossible, especially in heavy Nagoya traffic. My heart goes out to the parents. Rest in peace little one.

I do think we need to explore the commitment problem of Aso, which has caused many people to conclude that Aso, as a career politician, has the emotional maturity of a hamster. This is not the case. A hamster is much more capable of making a lasting commitment, especially if one gives it those little food pellets. Whereas Aso, in a relationship of leadership, will consume the pellets of trust, and he will run on the exercise wheel of greed; but as soon as Aso senses that the door of commitment is about to close and trap him in the wire cage of true responsibility, he'll squirm out, scamper across the kitchen floor of uncertainty and hide under the refrigerator of Non-Readiness.

Isn't it a bit unnerving that politicians call what they do a profession? The reason politicans call it living the dream of freedom, is because you have to be asleep to believe it.

Inside every high person, there is a disappointed prude. All this publicity amounts to a PR campaign by the police to show "Hey look, we do more things than just chase foreigners on bikes." Next month it will be something different: smokers in nonsmoking, teeth sucking and spitting oyaji taking photos of girls' backsides, or flower bashing school boys.

I hope these media maggots have their fathers memorial services interrupted. How tasteless and tactless. How about they go to the Diet Building and hound the real thieves there who "lost" millions of Retirement Accounts, or the Shinjuku area where the yaks roam without fear of the police. Poor woman.

Historically anyone going against the status quo and the elite have been called terrorist, crazy, or traitor. Just as the Palestinians are in this struggle. Small minds use single words to describe what threatens their small ideas and thoughts. Being a true freedom fighter takes courage. Good sheep never question, theeeey just waaaalk the official liiiine. Remember my fellow Americans, George III labeled us "terrorists" as well during our revolution.

Shizuka, I wish you and your SMAP husband the best. Have a nice life with each other. In the words of the Ren and Stimpy song: Happy, happy, joy, joy. Your husband does look a bit girly though.

It is even more reasonable to assume that its someone who can't afford the ride, especially in today's economic climate. In other words, say up front, "Show me the money first Laddy."

To international standards, no where near a "drug heaven". Lets look at the volume of drugs in any Japanese city in comparison to any other city in the world. Tokyo has twice the population of NYC and has no where near the problem. No where near the problem of London, Rome, Madrid, or even Hanoi, and I've worked in all these cities with Xenon-Eimo. Nagoya is about the size of my hometown Chicago, and again not even a fraction of the problem. To the "safety Japan" elite, of course.

Time to get this scum bum, tie him to a post at the Osaka square, and horse whip him. Then toss him in a cell where a guy twice his size will beat him every day for three years.
