Monoflow, how about because it takes courage to live life even through the rough times. Give things time and they work out fine. The problem today is that people place far TOO MUCH on material success. Instead of facing their own faults and how they ****ed everything up, they choose suicide with no thought of the family left behind to pick up the pieces of THEIR shattered lives without them. That is why it is a cowards way out. It takes courage to live through the tough times. Sorry, my sympathy lies with folks who have to live through hell through no fault of their own. Like people left paralyzed by drunk divers. Cry for a whimp choosing to end it all instead of living through difficulty, not me. I had an uncle who committed suicide 25 years ago and his wife (my aunt) still is left in shock and trying to rearrange her life without him. Too bad he didn't think of her - huh? Too bad indeed. He was a coward. Feel sorry for the family left behind.

Knews, how do you know Disillusioned was raised in the West unless you know the person personally? Many of my Japanese friends say the same thing about suicide. Especially with the population shortage. I believe you are judging from a pre-Meiji perspective. Things here have changed since 1873.

Don't think think I'll take relationship advice from a guy twice divorced. Sorta speaks of his success rate to me. Much like asking the guy who always says "Hey fellers watch this!" for safety advice.

So she has written her own songs, or does she mean lip syncing songs that are similar to her opinions. As usual the journalism leaves much to be questioned. To say "my songs" implies she is also a composer. What a talent for 12 year old.

Sarge give her a few years. If she can't sing after the lessons that may be her only hope for stardom. Like many before her she may be AV fodder when she turns 18. Just hope her parents aren't the ones pushing her into tarento life and she is choosing it herself.

I am not supporting the game, but censorship scares me much more. When it starts, even for the best of intentions, it is awfully damned hard to stop. The guy in Akihabara and the others already were nutters beofre, no game had to influence them. I always think of Salman Rushdie and his misery when censorship comes up. Whose standards do we use? The Vatican, Canterbury, Jerusalem, Mecca, Ted Haggart, and so on. I'd rather the pervs get their jollies from a game or video at home, than go out in the streets to get them.

For all the JT legal experts you need to understand the Jcops are powerless to do anything. First, they can only pull their sidearm when they have been shot at. Second, a lone cop at a scene with the perp not responding, any cop here or in the West would seek safety and call backup. They didn't know if he was armed or not. Three, if the cop did shoot the guy and he died the cop would face murder charges. Real police work is not Cagney and Lacey pulling guns and blasting into the crime scene. All over the world cops have their hands tied behind their backs to do anything but ask "please comply". Everyone saying in the US the cop would have shot him, think again, remember all the cases a cop did and the ACLU filed cases and now cops in the US can only pull their sidearm under circumstances where they have been shot at. I have 2 cousins who are cops, one in Chicago and the other in Dallas and I emailed them both this story and they read the comments. They both said they would have done what this cop did and the posters know nothing of the criminal justice system. Before you crucify this cop try to get the reality that the justice system hinders cops from acting, just like back home.
Their hands are tied until changes are made to give them flexibility. But of course all of you will be the first to call cops when you need them, just like every where else. The perp is protected under the law but the cops aren't.

Wow, so many tramps in one place, and so little time.
herefornow, I'd rate the collective IQ: a sympathy 10. Perhaps I'm being a bit too generous though. My 10 year old daughter has a higher IQ than all in the picture combines.
Moderator: It's not very nice to refer to the girls as tramps. It lowers the level of discussion and reflects badly on yourself.
