    A very caring owner. It's hotter for that dog walking on the ground so doggie is relishing the momentary respite.

    Naughty naughty. Are you going to not wait for the 20:02 and insert your right hand between the closing doors of the 19:56 train ever again? I don't think so too.

    Very first sentence in this article.

    you ought to be careful because they pass by unnoticed by your colleagues

    They sure do. No one notices a thing.

    The army warned the United States not to launch another attack like the one that took out bin Laden....Many of the world’s most wanted militants are believed to be in Pakistan, including Ayman al-Zawahri...

    "We will not only deal with those who dare attack America, we will deal with those who harbor them, and feed them, and house them." - George W. Bush, September 15, 2001

    @Virtuoso

    Didn't the word "Geronimo" get selected by the airborne corps in order to synchronize the timing of hooked-up paratroopers when they jumped out of the planes?

    No. There is better technology available for that.

    "We have a visual on Geronimo," and then "Geronimo EKIA." these were some of the updates reported live to the Situation Room

    I do not think many in Japan understand the importance of pets

    Why do you think so?

    They would be sitting seiza had only the royal couple sat far higher above. In this case sitting seiza would probably raise their heads higher than the elderly couple. It's appropriate that they are as is.

    JT, this picture is adding to the confusion and panic. Can you please add some more description to this? There are children in Tokyo who are not wearing such protection and their parents are wondering what's up.

    All school children or some in Tokyo? Does this mean the radiation risks have suddenly risen in Tokyo?

    Why should it be up to the U.S. to force Gadhafi from power?

    Same reason why the US ousted Saddam - for killing their own people.

    "Fashion" here is just about copying, not actually thinking about it or its roots.

    I assume fashion "elsewhere" is about everyone designing and wearing your own individual creations?

    @WilliB

    Considering that Yussuf Al-Quaradafi has called on all muslims to kill Gaddafi and establish a Shariah Caliphate in Libya, I don´t think you want to start arguing that a mosque is a non-political "sanctuary"

    Where does the article link those who took refuge in the mosque with Al-Quaradafi's call?

    Two Mirage warplanes from the Libyan air force fled a Tripoli air base and landed on the nearby island of Malta, and their pilots — two colonels — asked for political asylum, Maltese military officials said.

    Bravo! These brave fighter pilots following their conscience have proved that you need not just blindly follow orders.

    Most are blamed on poor maintenance and human error.

    Human error? How about some basic safety measures the first place like not allowing trains to run with people dancing on the roof.

    Deploying the 2000 odd police officers didn't help did it. There is absolutely no concept of crowd control in India. Even in everyday places like airport queues, people fall over each other while authorities just stand around doing nothing.

    They aren't taking THOUSANDS.

    Since 1985 Japan has hunted more than five thousand whales under objection from the International Whaling Commission. The figures are published at the IWC website.

    @Wasabi67

    When you say you are conducting scientific research but are actually hunting thousands for meat under that guise, you should not expect others to play fair either.
