smith - mobile wallet is great, unfortunately I had to give it up when I switched to the Galaxy. I only used the Suica function on my previous phone, but its the same as having the Pasmo or Suica card. Its linked to your credit card by password and you can only store up to 20,000 Yen. So, thats the most you could possibly lose. Great for late night taxi trips when drunk - don't have to open your wallet..and lose it :(

haha. who gave the_sheriff a thumbs down? Brozers is right up there for the best burger in Japan, let alone Tokyo. Gotham Grill in Ebisu fantastic too. None of the chains have ANYTHING on those two places.

@tmarie: Its not a case of South Korea 'wanting' 'to help' - Under South Koreans Constitution, anybody from the North, once they have been through security checks etc, is entitiled to South Korean citizenship, exactly the same conditions upon which West Germany had for East Germans if they made it over the border. In this case irrelevant, as they have stated a desire to go home. I suggest you read up a little on history.

I have the S2 LTE, Battery is lasting most of the day for me with normal (not heavy) usage. The plus being that it is a fantastic phone.

Spot on Paul - Great Advertising for ANA, Great Advertising for Boeing, doing what any public company accountable to shareholders shoudl be doing..trying to make more money. Nothing to criticise here at all. Looking forward to trying it out for myself in a couple of weeks on a tripto Hiroshima.

The customer knows best - She knew what she wanted and knew what the (probable) effect would be. Sure, revoke his licence but throw her complant out.

On another note, without mentioning names, there have been a couple of comments elsewhere asking 'why' certain foods are served here in Japan. I think Natto and Uni were mentioned elsewhere. Do you not think that the Japanese would question some of the food that is served elsewhere int he world. This site is becoming very Japan bashing recently. Shame.

Correct Namabiru - In 30+ years we may, just may find out the full story. Until then, comments as above from some14some are worthless and pointless.

I was supposed to fly to the UK tomorrow, I have cancelled. To even visit the UK would be to demonstrate support of the disgraceful behaviour the Unions intend to carry out tomorrow. The Unions WILL NOT win this one. The UK is already in a bad enough state as it is. This is no longer the 1970's - For example, More parents than ever work full time now. Who will take care of their children tomorrow? They will have to take unpaid leave and therefore pay LESS tax and LESS National Insurance worsening the already fragile pension system. Yes, one day will make a lot of difference. I suggest you do some reading up on the leaders of the 3 big Unions that will strike tomorrow. All of them earning between 120,000-130,000 Pounds a year. 5-7 times the national average.

There will be no sympathy from the private sector, everybody has already seen their pensions wither on the vine since 2008 - the world has changed. I hope the Cameron government sticks with its plans so that the UK might, and just might be one of the first countries 4-5 years from now to start recovering.

@Tom DeMicke, I suggest you actually read some proper news before posting such a senseless comment again. It is precisely because the UK intends to keep its Borders secure that there will be massive delays tomorrow. Please kindly elaborate on the 'stupid move' comment.

@Elbuda, May I ask why you hadve so much sympathy with your 'brothers', 'out' there in the UK? Do you work in the Public Sector in Japan - Has your pension been cut also? Do you HAVE a pension?

Brilliant Yong Yang - Once again, concern just for yourself. No 'I hope everybody there is OK' statement. Why DO you stay in Japan. I am not saying that its not a concern but you really could be a little more sympathetic.

global., well the good news is that your cheapest fare actually has you flying with ANA, on the transpacific leg (and of course the Japanese domestic leg), so at least you will not have to suffer UA that much! What an awful airline.
