Polices were looking for him on wrong road. He was arrested for failing to pay for petrol in Tennant Creek, Northern Territory, 62,000 km from where he took the car for test drive
Kobuta chan, It wasn'T 62,000km.....it was 6,200km. But interesting read.

So here is an open question to both Hashimoto and Ishihara........"Would you both be willing to provide your wife and daughters to work as comfort women if Japan head off to war in the very near future?"?
Why on earth do people keep voting in these morons to run things???????

I wish they could all head to one country. That way they can all live happily together and have all the Sharia laws they want. The problem is when they migrate to another country and expect that country to bend over backwards for them by implementing their personal ways of living and thinking and then expecting that new country to amend their rules and laws for them. Religion..............believe with your heart and soul...quietly if possible. But please don't impose your radical religious beliefs into law.

I know he has been labeled 'choker' (including by people in my family) but geez there are thousands upon thousands of golfers out there who sure as heck wish they could have been as successful as choker Norman.....after all he did hold the number 1 ranking in the world for over 330 weeks.....second only to Tiger Woods. Not too bad for a choker. Admittingly he did lose all four majors in extra holes.......but at least he did put himself in contention to be there to at least play extra holes. Most of the people who still knock him probably have never picked up a club.

If anyone deserves the death penalty in this country it is this sorry excuse for a person. I shake my head in disbelief at some of the sick and morbid things people do to kids in this country. His sentence before being hung should be 48 hours of the same treatment he dished out to the poor little soul he destroyed.

I am a sports maniac BUT the prize money for this tournament is getting beyond ridiculous. The average joe blow would have to work 9 to 5 for two life times to make that much money. I'm sure they could do more with the extra cash instead of upping the prize money by 40%. if they have that much cash in their pot how about lowering the ticket prices for fans to watch for a start !!!!!

You answered your own question. Kids that young should NOT be unsupervised full stop. If you missed the answer to your own question.......the answer is 'the person who left their son alone for 20 seconds to go into their house'. Do you honestly think that the dangers of the world are going to cease to exist for the 20 seconds that she/he is not in their presence??? It is your type of thinking that perhaps was the reason no one was looking after the kids when this terrible accident happened. I fell so sorry for the driver and not one once of sorrow for the person who left their children unsupervised. Like I said earlier this neck of the woods has a serious lack of commonsense issue which won't improved anytime soon.

There are alot of things a Rugby side can work on during such a lop sided game in lieu of continuing to hammer their opponents into oblivion. How about turning the attack into a real live situation training run where you try completely new moves. Try keeping the ball alive through the forwards instead of throwing it out wide to the speed machines who will score each time they touch the ball. Try kicking the ball back to the opposition and work more on your defensive patterns.......even try to get the opposition into your own 1/4 to work on your under pressure defense (miss a tackle and they will score). Just a thought. One of the best coaches I ever had growing up (who ended up becoming one of the best professional league coaches) told us that there was no thrill in embarrassing your opponents fellas.........work on new things and work on your weaknesses in such a situation (example may be to only tackle with your weaker shoulder).

My question is obvious.....what are 2 kids so young doing playing on the street?? Sadly far too many Japanese parents have the ridiculously dumb mindset of 'It's OK....nothing will happen'. Geez I'd love to hear what the people who were responsible for allowing these children out on the street in the first place have to say. I really wish this society would learn some seriously basic commonsense. Sadly I can't see that happening.

Wouldn't be because he hasn't lived up to your (the Japanese media) expectations would it??? Japan is infamous for putting someone so highly up on a pedestal and expecting so much from them only to rip them apart for failing. You watch the media go bananas when Ishikawa gets into the final group of a tournament in the future. All of a sudden they (the Japanese media) will label him as a possible chance in the following Masters. The smartest thing Ishikawa ever did was head over to the States and play.........geez the media have a short memory........how long did it take before Ai Miyazato figured out the courses over there and started contending? Ishikawa will start contending (I'm not saying winning) but it might be a good idea to remember that he still he only 21 and is still working out the courses over there.

Congratulations team Scott. What a great team Adam Scott and Steve Williams are. Fantastic Masters for aussies with Jason Day and Leishman in the hunt as well. As Jack Gibson, the late great Rugby League coach, would have said, "ding dong the witch is dead". Awesome for Scotty to become the first Australian masters winner. Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast will never be the same again.

Ah.....you didn't have your hand raised above your head did you? The driver saw you but didn't know you were actaully crossing the street because he didn't see your hand. He thought you were an optical illusion. (sarcastically speaking of course)

The story mentions 'crossing'.....is it referring to a simple pedestrian (zebra) crossing without traffic lights (which is what i presume it means), or the crossing at an intersection with traffic lights? In all my years in Japan I can count on one hand how many times I have seen cars stop for pedestrians wanting to cross at a (zebra) crossing where we live. Even when someone does stop, most times the cars (especially scooters) going the other are very reluctant to stop. I cringe when I see kids high tail it across the crossing just because one car has stopped without checking carefully if there is anything else coming along side it or the other way.

Watching the National Geographic documentries over the weekend brought tears to my eyes (again). The devastation was horrific and still is. The thought of having everything you own washed away in a matter of minutes is something I can not ever imagine. We take for granted the treasure of the little things such as having photos to look back on and remember the past. What some of those up north would give just to have one photo of their family members or friends they lost in the tsunami.

I wish these IOC inspectors would drop into the cities they are inspecting a few months prior to their official visit and a few months after their official visit.......... anonymously without the bidding countries officials knowing........just so they could get a real feel of the city without the rockstar fanfare, limos and facade that is propped up in front of their eyes 24/7 during their 'official' vists. I know they are inspecting the 'bids' but alot of what they see outside the boardroom and site plans certainly goes into their consideration for selecting the city. Oh and of course the extras that are no doubtly thrown their way too.

I know this happens in other countries as well but I've found it to be moreso here......please stop talking while you are eating something.......its disgusting and people really don't want to see what is getting mulched in your mouth while you chat away. I find it funny that usually the same people who do this will usually cover their mouths as they use a toothpick!!!!!!! And to the older generation of guys.....stop taking leaks on the side of the footpath on the way home from the pub like a stray dog.

Geez....kind of a big difference to working in McDonalds or supermarkets compared to being asked to look after a 3 year old while mummy has gone overseas I tend to think. Some adults in this country don't have the commonsense to look after a 3 year old and your saying a 14 year old does!!

This is so sad on so many scales. The 3 year old wouldn't have understood the situation. She would have been looking for her mother and wondering where on earth she had gone. The 14 year old was way too young to be left with the responsibility of looking after a 3 year old. The mother....you don't deserve to have children. I truely hope they punish you very very harshly. Your 14 year old daughter has the sad memory of blaming herself for the death of her 3 year old younger sister. RIP little one. I hope you are surrounded by people who love and care for you in heaven.
