How about a punishment to fit the crime. Lower him into the flames at a crematorium while he kicks and screams.

I wish somebody would finish the job on herself that she didn't complete. So sad the little girl had to die because of her mothers selfishness. The little soul would have been exciting checking into the hotel thinking she was going to have a nice time. Tragic.

She looks knackered. Probably walked a mile to get there and is wishing she hadn't drank all of her drink. On a serious note it is a nice photo.

Wow...this guy lived 77 years only to be knocked under a train by a drunk wanker staggering into people around him. RIP. I agree with the above posts. There really is a alcohol problem in this country. The end result of any drinking party here is a group of salarymen staggering home like pathetic teenagers after their first night on the drink.

Wow you should experience the manners in China for a while. After you have been there for longer than the average tourist, you will think Japan is heaven. There is no pushing in like the Chinese pushing in.
Posted in: Do you think a man holding a door open for a woman, holding her chair for her when she sits down, or giving up his seat for her are outmoded gestures of politeness or do they still have their place in today's society?

Got to love it when you do open the door for people in this neck of the woods and they walk in as if the doors opened all by themselves with not even a hint of a thank you or sideways glance.......kind of makes you wish you could go back a few seconds in time and have the chance to slam the door in their face!!!!!!!

I oppose anyone who enters a country and tries to throw their religion down your throat and uses their religion as an excuse. The radical muslims are an example where they expect everyone to follow their beliefs. They complain at schools about religious festivals because the same schools don't observe their own religious festivals and as such many public schools have canceled events to appease everyone. Yet these same people will not complain one bit about the wonderful Easter holidays and Christmas holidays that are on offer. Simply leave your radical measures back in your radical country. If you don't like the way the country that you have decided to set up shop deals with your extreme thinking then simple head back to where you came from. I really hate to see where we will be in 50 years time. They won't be able to hang the cross in churches because it may offend someone. Give me a break!!!!!!
Posted in: In some countries, there are moves to ban or restrict the wearing of religious clothing and symbols such as burqas, veils, head scarves, skullcaps, turbans and crucifixes in public places like schools, recreational facilities and so on. What’s your stance?

Considering it is part of the history lessons taught at schools I'd say a fair few. They would even know what happened there and why it happened and the end result which lead to Hiroshima and Nagasaki. It isn't blotted out of the history books or changed to appease the masses. It is there for all to see and read. As for the photo....I quiet like it. Very candid. Pictures tell a thousand words and this one certainly does that.

Whats ever sadder is that some of the younger generation don't even know what Yasukuni is?
Proudnippon..you are probably right in that these two lasses saw pretty lanterns and rushed over and snapped a photo albiet most likely squealing "kaaaawaaaaiiiii" in helium toned voices....(without giving a second thought to where they were or what the place stands for)!!!!
