If it had of been me (or any other foreigner) our names would have been mentioned. Where are the names of the riot police in question????
As for the girl she has done nothing wrong. It is actually a delight that she is working in an izakaya and hasn't taken the other easier route and ended up in a sleazy grope me all night watering hole owned by the gutter mob. I know she is only 16 and most people will say she can't work in the hostess industry because she is too young but there are many students around our way working in such places at the same age. Give her a break.....she was pushed back into the toilets by the guys she is supposed to trust.

Pathetic!!! The price of a childs life in japan = one million yen. The judge who gave this ruling should have been asked afterwards if the fine (sentence) imposed would have been the same if this six year old boy was his own child. Disgusting. And to think this creature of a teacher will continue teaching kids! Just a side thought...... why don't the Judo association implement a rule that all kids wear protective helmets (as they do in other karate tournaments) so the beginners (especially kids) don't get their head slammed into the ground time and time again?

Koji: "Taro why is this machine screaming like a cat everytime i point it at the wood?" Taro: "Gee don't know Koji it could be the batteries. Just load the wood on the train and we'll ask the boss when we get back to Tokyo".

Who was the bright spark who made this ridiculous decision? Don't they believe in containment?

“I think we need to learn how to cope with pressure better individually, so we don’t make as many individual errors.” “It’s World Cup pressure, with that intensity we were coming up with mistakes at the wrong time,” Kirwan said. “At this level, I think that’s the type of pressure we need to get used to.”

Totally agree with his comments. He has hit the nail on the head. The only way Japanese players can improve with pressure individually is by playing top class sides on a consistent basis and not consistently playing the one sided floggings against asian minnows. By beating Taiwan or Hong Kong by cricket scores teaches the players nothing. If you make a mistake against these teams nothing will happen. Go and sought out the top countries or even the top club teams from other countries. Make a mistake against these teams and they will punish you by piling up points on the board.

I think JK's job 'should be' safe. What he has done up till now has been nothing short of outstanding in getting the players to believe in themselves. When the players take the field and start dropping the ball and making stupid mistakes too many people blame the coach. JK has tried to change the face of rugby in this country and he has suggested time and time again that the competition needs to be restructured to make it more competitive instead of the one sided thrashings that usually take place over here. He has also suggested that players should filter out into the real world and play in overseas competitions to gain valuable experience week in and week out. People forget that JK is just one person below a heap of old geezers in the japanese rugby world who make the decisions and don't want to take too drastic of a measure to change the face of rugby in this country. They are happy plodding along flogging the other asian minnows by cricket scores time and time again. Give JK sole decision making in rugby for this country and see the improvements he will make within the next four years........but that wont happen. So is JK's job safe? It should be but sadly the old geezers will need a scape goat.

Because it is what they think thats what they are supposed to do. I have taken a photo of my kids in class and have told them not to do the peace sign....they honestly didn't know what to do with their fingers.......half the class did it without actually knowing they were doing it.

Good on him....after all it is a charity event. Him taking part will boost what they would have made without him ten-fold. If anyone is thinking Tiger will win easy they had better think again. It will be very evenly matched because they will be playing off different tees. The girls will be playing a lot further forward then what tiger will be.

Friday’s match also marks captain Richie McCaw’s 100th test, the first All Black to become a centurion, and the 19th in rugby. The occasion has given All Blacks fighting for spots for the big Pool A game next week against France extra incentive to play well for their skipper.

Mmmmm.....I think these 2 sentences sum up the reason why this could be a right royal whipping. Especially the second one regarding the AB's second stringers who will relish the opportunity to run in try after try after try to hopefully force themselves into the top side come finals time. I think it will all come down to the final 20 minutes each half where typically past Japanese teams have turned into human turnstills watching opponents run past them time and time again.

It's all good and well to rest key players to take advantage of the upcoming 'easier and more likely to win' games from a coaches point of view however if you were a top players wouldn't you feel disappointed in the fact that you weren't being given the opportunity to take on one of the best teams in the world on the biggest stage in the world?????? I know i would. Besides isn't the idea to enter each game with the mindset of being able to win the match?? It must be hard for JK to pump his players up for this one when they know they are taking on the AB's with a second string team (common boys just try to keep the score a bit respectable and try to starve them of possession so they don't rattle up too many points). i know there is more chance of a future world cup taking place on Mars than japan beating the AB's but sporting history has given us a few rather odds-on favorites going down to very very long odds opponents!!! But in saying that....if i were in JK's shoes I would do pretty much the same.

I think it will simply come down to how Japan pull through their opening games injury-wise against France and New Zealand. If they get through un-scathed then they might be a chance against Canada. Japan will have to play real good Rugby to beat Tonga in the World Cup. It will feel like a home game for Tonga playing in New Zealand.

Edano says Japan’s government “strongly” protested to China and reiterated its claim to the islands

I'm just wondering if there is a plan B in amongst this because as i'm sure you are aware the Chinese Govt really doesn't care about how 'strongly' you protest and how many times you have reiterated your claims on the islands.

Gee whiz....funny you should say that because that is exactly what your current leader needs right now but isn't getting from any of you clowns in the political circus.

The only problem is that in asian teams the westerners stick out like a sore thumb....but who cares? If they have met the regulations set out by the International Union board (which i think is having lived 3 years in the country you are representing) then what is the drama? I remember an incident way back in another rugby code where japan were disqualified for fielding a gaijin (who had lived in the country for 6 years at that time) even after being cleared to represent the country by the same people who disqualified the team. go figure!
