People usually dont speak on japanese trains, now it appears we arent allowed to breahe, either, or get arrested like this man. This country become more bizarre every day. The trains are packed like sardines every day, so its inevitably that someone`s ear gets breathed into! Like another poster said, I get sneezed on regulary (and showerd by the spary) almost every day. I really dont understand why this man was arrested for this - unless he was just another kinky man.

I hope this man goes to jail for a long time. Smoking must be nanned in public places, like it is in the rest of the civilised world. I thought people werent allowed to smoke while driving in Japan? I see people smoking, using cellphones, and even reading books and manga while driving in this country. Its a small wonder there arent more terrible accidents like this one.

Good news from Canada. Funding abortions would mean State-financed murder of the unborn.

Japan has no rrepsect for its own culture, and this despicable act of demolishing the Kabukiza proves it. Its a really sad day for this country when this beautiful building is destroyed.

Climate change is natural, get used to it. Its been happening for thousands of years. It has absolutely nothing to do with the activities of puny human beings. So we had a cold April day this year, so what? Its just a natural cycle, cold and warm, cold and warm, for thousands of years. Nothing for Al Gore, the Chief High Priest of the GW religion, to get excited about.

Knowbetter Your wish is granted! An article in the British Daily Telegraph said that "scientists" are now claiming that volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, tsunamis, and the like can all be attributed to "Global Warming." The biggest load of crap I have ever read. After the coldest winter in the Northern Hemisphere in 100 years, they are still telling us its because of "Global Warming?" Like another poster said above - everything is being blamed on GW these days. How long before more and more people wake up to the fact that it is one big SCAM?

There are far too many skinny people in Japan, and it is far from attractive. They look emaciated - and what is attractive about that? On the flip side, I never hear of "metabolic syndrome" anywhere else in the world apart from Japan. Come to think of it, I never hear the words "internationalisation" and "globalisation" anywhere else but Japan, either. Strange.

Smoking is drug addiction, and anyone who wants to smoke in this day and age should really consider having psychiatric help. It has been proven, without doubt, that smoking kills, and causes various terrible diseases. It is a dangerous addiction, and society must do all in its power to stomp out this disgusting and dangerous self-harming habit.

If by Japanese porn they mean the disgusting, and extremely badly made stuff with any pubic hair or private parts blotted out that we sometimes get an unwitting glimpse of in japanese hotel rooms, then I think the Taiwanese must be insane to even bother with such trash.

Blu Ray is a Sony way of tring to get into or take over the lucrative DVD market. Grossly overpriced and not worth the money or the effort. I will stick with my DVDs, which will be around for a long time. I see absolutely no reason to change to Blu Ray, and waste my money to make Sony richer. I think it will fail, just like those awful mini CD discs failed. Oh - that must make me "old," according to some posters here. Talk about ageism and arrogance!

No matter what SAS offers, I will not fly with them again. The Flight Attendants need to learn basic manners and social graces first, and the food sucks.

If Japan wants more tourists, it needs to do something about the bad manners and rudeness of people on trains in the Tokyo area. It also needs to train some of the people working in tourist areas like Nikko (Nikko is Nippon) (sic) to be nice to foreign visitors. It also needs to do something about the fact that many many hotels do not welcome foreign guests, and discriminate against them. Then of course, there is the lack of English signs and English ability, not to mention the exorbitant prices of hotel rooms and the stupid "per person" rules. Japan really needs to get its act together if it wants more tourists to come here.

The real "monsters" are those selfish people who insist on smoking and polluting the air that we breathe in various places. Despite what this stupid, know-nothing journalist says, there is plenty of accredited evidence that passive smoking, or second hand smoke, causes illness and death. Smokers can and must submit to the will of the majority ofsensible people everywhere, who want this disgusting drug habit banned.

Since Obama came to power, he has consistently spurned Americas long-time allies and pandered to her long-time enemies. Does he like America? As an outside observer, I see America declining under his Democratic leadership. I see Sarah Palin as a great orator - much more lively and entertaining than Obama, and more in tune with the great American people, who will resoundly defeat the Democrats during the Mid-term elections later this year. I sincerely hope she becomes President next time around and restores Americas greatness. Thats if there is anything left to restore after the disastrous Obama years....
