This is all very sad, and I feel very sad for the Royal couple and little Aiko sama. Its a sad reflection on the state of modern Japan, where the culture of bullying obviously permeates the entire social structure of Japan. No-one is safe from the bullies in this country. Japan is a society of bullying. If I were in their shoes, I would remove my daughter from such an institution until such time as the bullies were disciplined and/or removed from the school.

Posted in: Crown Prince Naruhito and Crown Princess Masako told the media in a statement that they feel distress for causing public concern about their 8-year-old daughter Princess Aiko, who stayed away from school after reportedly encountering rough behavior by boys in her grade. What do you think about all this?

The US, and Obama in particular, should keep their noses out of the Middle East. Jerusalem is the Capital City of Israel - north, south, east and west. It is one city, and the East is not "occupied terrority" as the Palestianians claim. Palestine has the right to exist, just as Israel has the Divine Right to exist. Israel is much older than Palestine. I fully support the Israeli Government`s right to build homes in East Jerusalem. It is an integral part of their Capital City.

How can the Japanese police order people to stop filming? Is there a law in japan against taking pictures of the sea, and of fishermen? Is there no freedom for foreigners in this country? It seems like freedom for foreigners here is becoming less and less. I can`t wait to see The Cove to see what all the fuss is about. It seems to me that in this culture of shame, these fishermen have been shamed interntaionally, and they are just not happy about it. Tough, boys - welcome to the big world of globalization.

Dear Jamie Rockers Thank you for your article about bamboo. Its a wonerful plant, and I believe in protecting the environment and especially trees, which naturally soak up C02 emmissions that all human beings emit and the emissions into oxygen for us. Like many millions of people throughout the world, however, I do not believe in all the "man made global warming" stuff, and the associated vocabulary, including "carbon footprints." I couldnt care less what my "carbon footprint" is, nor the "carbobn footprints" of anything else, living or dead. Its all nature, and its all natural, and there aint anything puny human beings can do to change natural climate change. I love bamboo, by the way.

Just because these people have been hunting dolphins and whales since the 1600s does not mean that they can continue to ignore the rest of the real world of the 21st century. Its not on any more.

Obama will not copmplete 8 years as president. He will be tuirfed out after 4. The man is becoming a totalitarian despot. "Yes, we can!" has been replaced with "Yes I will!"

I love Japanese Department Stores - except that they are sometimes overpriced. Also, Id like to see bigger sizes in the clothes departments. Japan is far behind other Asian countries when it comes to providing bigger sizes.

She is an interesting woman. I wonder if she picked up some of the recipes during her trip to Venus in the 70s?

Whaling is wrong, and Japan had to learn to live by the international rulebook, whether it likes it or not.

If people dont want to have babies, they should either get medical treatment "pipe cut" the Japanese call ity, or else take precautions. Just because someone got themselves pregnant is no excuse to murder babies, either before or after birth.

Elton John may be "gay" if he likes, but to describe the Son of God as "gay" is just plain blasphemy, probably one of the most dangerous sins imaginable. I pity him, and will pray for him.

Obviously the recent regime change in Japan meant nothing. Japan continues to behave as if the rest of the world did not exist.

Medical Tourism in Japan? What a joke! Ive been hospitalized twice in Japan and both were bad experiences. While there are some great doctors here, there are also plenty of bad ones, and their treatment and wierd practices are from another world. Medical tourism will never take off here. Id go to Thailand. There, the people also smile at you, and mean it, and they welcome foreigners.

angelxtears Take it or leave it? You mean "we Japanese will do whatever we like, and to hell with the rest of the world?" That might have worked in the past, dear, but not any more. You want your country to be "internationalized?" Well, wake up and smell the roses, baby - if you want to be treated with respect by other countries, you have to abide by the international rules - and thpose include something called "human rights." Ever heard of human rights?
