To refer to the Sanya district of Tokyo as "skid row" (an American English term) is an insult to the original American area to which it was applied. The Sanya district is in reality a Burakumin Ghetto, a place the previous Japanese Government didn`t even allow to be put on the map. It is a place of discrimination, the shame of Tokyo. Why does this JT article ignore this fact? Is JT trying to be politically correct? In the article, the word "decrepit" is spelt with a "t" -is that the American spelling? In British English, it is spelt with a "d."
Juyst because the Sanya district has become popular with foreign tourists not wishing to be ripped off elsewhere in Tokyo, and just becuase the area now has "chic bars" can never disguise the awful truth about the shamefulness of the area.

Has Free Speech disappeared from America? All this guy Wilson did was to call Obama a liar! Most politicians are liars, we all know that. He was stating the obvious. Why all the fuss. "Japan`s Liberal Democratic Party has been put to the sword" - what a beautiful sentence! Mr Hatoyama will do a good job, and I hope he will bring many changes - thats what the Japanese people voted for. We should support him now.

Id like the new government to control and discipline the police, round up and jail Yakuza leadersdecrease taxation, stop building ridiculous things like airports for the transportation of vegetables, introuduce a Human Rights Bill, jail people who practice any form of discrimination, bring justice and equality to the Pension system, outlaw discrimination against foreigners in universities, reform totally the Education Ministry and get rid of the Rightists in it who try to hide the truth from the youth of Japan, demolish Yasukuni Shrine of Hate and establish a National War Memorial free from War Criminals, abolish Consumption Tax and increase taxes on booze and expecially cigarettes, introduce a blanket ban on smoking in all public places. That will do for starters. Japan then might become "beautiful."

Congratulations to the Japanese people for joining the rest of the Free World at last and changing it government! I am completely elated at the demise of Soka Gakkai Alliance of scoundrels frpm political power at last. They vertainly got the comuppance they so richly deserved. Now lets get behind the new government and support them in their efforts to change japan for the better. I hope they start with a Bill of Human Rights, and make discrimination punishable by imprisonment and heavy fines. RThey would rake in plenty of dosh that way.

Time for British and American troops to get out of there. The President is corrupt, and merely a puppet put in place by the Americans. The govermnent and legal system is also corrupt. I say get out now and leave them to it. The Taliban are evil monsters, born out of evil extreme Islamism. They have no place in the civilised world. Blanklet-bomb their hideaways and then leave.
