I think it will make a pretty sight at night, and add some variety to the Tokyo skyline. Japan needs anything that can cheer its people up right now. Oh, and it wasnt just built for digital broadcasting. It was sponsored by Tobu Railways to boost the East Side of Tokyo and also the depressed Saitama area. Hence the "Rising East" advertising material. Ochiai is perhaps one of the most boring and rundown areas of Tokyo`s shitamachi, so hopefully this tower will give it a boost and help the economy.

It seems there is nothing Obama wont do to get re-elected next year. However, more and more people are wise to him now. The contrast between his comments after the death of Osama Bin Laden and the comments of George Bush after the capture of Saddam Hussein could not be greater. Obama talked like he did it singlehandedly, whereas Bush gave all the creift to the brave US Forces. In this case, Obamas visit to Puerto Rico show signs of desperation - he obviously knows that many people can see through his facade and so he is now turning to the Hispanics for extra votes in the hope of pulling off re-election in 2012. To quote Sarah Palin "Hows the change thingy going for you these days, Barak?"

Nuclear Power in Japan should be abandoned because of the constant threat of earthquakes and tsunami. The alternatives are simple. Help save the Planet from the environmental nutters with their delusionary notions about the evils of CO2, and make more coal-fired and oil-fired Power Stations. I`m fed up listening to people ranting about "renewable energy" because such an entity does not exist. Nature provided us with all we need for energy in the form of coal, gas and oil. Lets be thankful for it, and continue to use it, thus producing lots of much-needed CO2 gas, which plants and trees thrive on.

We all know that Amerrican food is very unhealthy, as are American eating habits. The country has a huge obesity problem (forgive the pun) and it needs the re-education of the people. I cant understand why the Republicans would oppose healthy eating.

"Carbon Footprints" "Carbon Offsetting" and other such words are just meaningless nonsense to more and more people now. Such words and espressions are not part of my vocabulary. I reject them. Nuclear power is not good for the Planet, because it is too dangerous. There is nothing wrong with CO2 -producing energy sources. There are much greater amounts of CO2 produced by one little volcanic eruption than are caused by all the factories in China for a year. The hysteria about CO2 is all hyped-up nonsense.

Personally, I see nothing wrong with good old oil and coal-fired Power Stations. Natural resources, producing much needed CO2 gases, which are very necessary for the survival of plant, aqnimal and human life on this planet, despite what the Global Warming religionists say.

Many Japanese cannot master the simple conjugation of English verbs, and this is a woeful example, despite about 12 years of English lessons. Its a pity this guy didnt use a spellinjg checker at least before shaming himself and his nation in this way. No worries, I am sure Wen doesnt inderstand, and would ignore it anyway. The Japanese people have more important things to worry about these days than some stupid islands near Taiwan.

As for the J police - words fail me, though I am not surprised by what they did. I wonder would they treat some of their Yakuza friends like that.

For a country with so many sex crimes, committed by both men and women, I am appalled by this case. There are far to many cases like this, where men in particular are falsely accused by witless young Japanese women. Some do it deliberately, in order to blackmail Japanese men for money. Others do it out of spite. I hope this young woman feels proud of herself today. I admire the young man`s mother, and hope she gets lots of compensation, though no amount of that can bring back her son.

Im proud that my Queen is visiting the Irish Republic for the next 4 days. The entire island of Ireland was a part of the United Kingdom for centuries, and there have always been close links between the two main British Isles. Of course, there have been mistakes in the past, on both sides, but we must move on. I find it repulsive that the evil IRA dissidents are trying to disrupt the Visit, and also that people on here are mostly condemning the British. It takes 2 to tango. Irish Republicans have been responsible for some of the worst and most heinous terrorist atrocities over many decades, though they only emphasise British misdemeanors, which have been far fewer. The Queen today is Sovereign of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. She is greatly loved, and throughout her long life has served her people extremely well, just as she promised in her sacred Coronation Oaths. I am sure the decent Irish people in the southern part of the island will give her a warm Irish welcome. Failte to Ireland, Your Majesty!

Absolutely no sympathy for these people. Its rich, them bleating about the USA "breaking international law" when their father led an evil terrorist group which did that every day. Where was their concept of "international law" on 9/11 or 7/7?

This picture makes me feel sad. I dont think that the entry of a human being into Hell is anything to celebrate, no matter what he did.

According to the Bible, Hell is a fearful place, and God does not want anyone to go there, Thats why He sent us Jesus, His Son. Those who reject Jesus will in turn be rejected by Him when He returns one day soon to judge the Living and the Dead.

People are going nuts over this radiation scafre in Japan, fed by the mass medias sensationalist journalism. They thik we who live here are all radiated and dying slowly. The fact is, there is a far higher level of radiation in places like Paris and Rome than there is in Tokyo. Im really sorry that innocent Japanese tourists and people living abroad are haveing these problems, due to the crass stupidity of their hosts.

I think the people who produce this dictionary have lost their marbles. These are not words, and never will be. Mostly, they are American slang, and acronyms. They have no place in any proper English dictionary.
