It would be good if the Palestinians could give up their terrorism against Israel and then talks could be held to form an independent Palestinian State. However, it cannot be based on the old pre-1967 boundaries. In 1967, the Israelis reclaimed what is rightfully theirs, the Land given to them thousands of years ago. It was first promised to Moses 4000 years ago, therefore the Israelis have a right to live there. If many of the Palestinians had their way, Israel would net exist at all. The modern State of Israel came into being in 1948, a fulfillment of a prophecy in the OT as recorded by Ezekiel. Historically, the so-called "West Bank" area was a part of ancient Israel, therefore, the Palestians have no right to claim it as part of their future State. Jerusalem also is the historical Capital of ancient Israel, and therefore it cannot be divided between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

Carbon credits, carbon footprints, carbon emmissions - all as load of cobblers, based on lies and deceit, the biggest scam since the theory of evolution. Ok, they can give money to help poor developing nations and call it "green," but please dont insult our intelligence by telling us that human beings are respobsible for climate change. Its baloney.

I repeat, I would never ever dream of buying property in this country. Its just not a good investment - you would never see your money again, and who wants a tiny house made of matchwood that wouldnt last more than 25 years, and built on a piece of land too close to the neighbours where you can hear every movement in their houses and they can hear you?

Tokyoapple You have been brainwashed. Not true. Europe is currently freezing to death, for the second winter in a row. Japan had a hot summer, but the rest of the world did not. Its called NATURE, my friend, and there isnt anything thaty us puny human beings can do about it. Global Warmking is a LIE.

Anthropogenic Global Warming is just a LIE and a scam. This latest conference in Mexico was just another waste of money, a gathering of environmentalist nutcases who are just out to line their own pockets. Climate Change, when it happens, is a naturla phenomenon, and nothing to do with the activities of human beings. Thank God the Republicans are now back at the helm in the USA, before Obama and his Leftist comrades could sign up the USA to any more idiotic taxes based on lies and deceit.
You cannot base such important decisions on something that is just mythology. CO2 is a wonderful thing, and we need more of it and not less. Plants thrive on it, and need it, to survive. Human beings also produce it, and need it to survive. We should be increasing our output of CO2 gases, and not the opposite.

Why are the Japanese people so paranoid about the use of mobile phones on trains? Is it because it disturbs their sleep? I find it absurd that people cant use mobile phones on trains in this country, but indulge in all kinds of other antisocial behaviour on trains, with impunity. Stories like this one show the intolerance and the childishness of people in this country.

I speak as a person who has a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is the true definition of "Christianity." I don`t like religion. It is man-made, and mostly an absolute curse. Religion is something that happens outside of us. Salvation, a relationship with Jesus Christ, is something that happens on the inside.

I personally would never dream of buying property in Japan. Too many natural disasters, and exorbitant pricing of shoebox wooden houses, on postage-stamp size land, which starts to devalue the minute you walk through the door, and has to be rebuilt a few years down the line? Thanks, but no thanks.

WilliB Totally agree. 15,000 "delegates" at this latest "global warming" nonsense conference? Whos is paying for that, I wonder? These annual jamborees are a total waste of time. Climate Change is nature in action. It has nothing to do with the actions of puny human beings. These environmentalists are just scaremongering, money-grabbing fruitcakes.

What a very sad picture. Lifeless and dull. Kiko sama`s smile is always so sad and false-looking. For a picture taken in the grounds of the Asakusa Palace, it is totally without imagination. Surely they could have taken this picture with a nicer backdrop? It looks like my back garden at home.

For a country that hasnt a clue about the real meaning of Christmas, the Japanese certainly love the Christmas illuminations and decorations, which seem to get better every year. Famtastic display.

George Bush is a great man, and was a great President. If Jimmy Carter was so great, how come he was only elected president for a 4 year term? I think that George Bush was maligned and villified by the Left in America and around the world. There was a deliberate campaign by the Leftish Mass Media to discredit him. He is a gentleman, and Laura Bush is a lady - one of the best First Ladies that America ever had. Bothe are warm-hearted people, and recently they went to the airport in Texas to welcome home troops who had been serving in Iraq and Afghanistan. The look on their faces was priceless. I have never seen the "Anointed One" doing that!
George Bush will be remembered as the president who protected America and the Western World after 9/11. Obama will quickly be forgotten after he leaves the White House in 2012.

While it is good to see the normally politically comatosed Japanese protesting about something, this whole thing is nonsense. Those islands are beside China and Taiwan, and very far from Japan. The only reason they Japanese want them is because of the oil reserves nearby.
Japan is rapidly going down the plughole in many respects, and most Japanese are so wrapped up in their own little worlds that they dont realise what is going on in the outside world. The days of right-wing Japanese Fascism are gone, but some people dont seem to realise that. It dies with the brainwashed kamikaze pilots, and with Emperor Hirohito.
Already this country is Number 3. It will sink further in the coming years, thanks to the "closed shop" mentality of the Japanese Government and people.

Living in Japan is like living on a different planet. Its all so unreal, and totally bizarre, and it seems to be getting words. People in Japan, especially the men, never seem to grow up.

What a wonderful week it has been. The Democrats got the thrashing they deserved, along with the "Anointed One." It was the People
s Judgement on the Obama regime - and while he told them 2 short years ago "Yes, we can!" this week, they delivered a resounding "No, we cant!" message to the regime. Lets hope the Marxists now retreat and take the judgement of the people seriously. America is the worlds greatest democracy. There is no room for Obamas marxism.Posted in: GOP wins the House, falls short of Senate
