There is a serious lack of gyms or health clubs in Japan. When I went to Hong Kong a month ago they were everywhere and very affordable. Its no wonder the Japanese are doing worse in organized sports world wide. I feel it will only get worse.

The Japanese students go to school more days a year then any other students in the world. The tests suit the Japanese rote memorization so they naturally do well on this kind test taking. When they change the test so it is not so structured they don't do so well.…
