Over 3 million votes lost in the 2004 election, due to shady practices of voter purging.

ACORN is nothing compared to the voting fraud committed by the current administration.

Thank Allah there is finally some glimmer of light at the end of this deep, dark abyss. While I don't believe anything until I see it, at least they are finally starting to discuss a withdrawal including a definite time table. This is what they should have done years and years ago. When you have a deadline, from a psychological standpoint it tells people to get with the program as the free handouts will not last forever. It tells them to start fiddling around and take things seriously. It's over 3 years too long but again at least a start.

A wonderful story of cross cultural exchanges, how nice that two South Koreans won this competition. Hope to see more nice stories like these.

Congratulations to Japan indeed, a long fought and hard won battle to rightfully earn its place on the security council. The bigots here have once again been embarrased at their simple mindedness. For anyone to remotely favor Iran, labeled an axis of evil and supposed supplier of the insurgency in Iraq, over Japan is the height of insanity. Anyone that purports to love America or freedoms in the world to insult Japan at the expense of Iran should be truly ashamed of themselves.

Once again congratulations to Japan, they've earned it with their spending and contributions to the world (unlike Iran or others).

Yea a choice between Japan and Iran? Come on my friends, even the most anti Japan/Japanese fanatics out there are hard pressed to come out with ANY excuse or reasoning to favor Iran over Japan on UN security council seat. But then again, I wouldn't put it beneath anyone to come up with even the most far fetched example of why Iran is better equipped to get the seat over Japan; after all no matter how bad or terroristic/evil a country is, for many if you compare that country to Japan, Japan will always lose out, sickeningly.

    According to this yes soldave:

She admitted as such that she was on top of him, yet denies having sexual intercourse. Eyewitnesses say to the contrary, and a police actually warned the two prior to knock out the PDA. As I suspected the article hints that for the most part authorities tend to look away from most "offenses." I would think that with all those tourists, it's not like the gestapo people make it out to be, they're not persecuting holding of hands or little pecks on the cheek. That is why this case is so sensational, because their behavior was so crass and egregious to offend an officer who warned them beforehand, yet they refused to obey and now blaming alcohol for it.

I have no sympathy for them at all, having sex on the beach in public will get anyone arrested in many, many places of the world. Good for Dubai officials.

Good for the law. This has nothing to do with "Islamic extremism" or "ignorance." It's good that public displays of affection are illegal there, if people don't like it then they don't have to visit Dubai. After all the same people screaming about "Islamic crazies" are the same ones that probably whine about Middle Eastern/Islamic immigrants not "conforming" to the laws and culture of their adopted country.

I highly doubt the law enforcement in Dubai are going around jailing every foreigner that holds hands or gives a little peck on the cheek. But all it takes is a few bad apples to go around getting drunk and shagging on the beach in public. How disgusting and crass is that, even if it wasn't intercourse I don't want to see people making out in bloody public.

Good for the justice system in Dubai this time.

Joe has no clue. He DOES need a license, even if he was working under a licensed person (in this case there is doubts as to whether the guy he works for even has a license), he requires an apprenticeship license. And so on.

At least McCain did somewhat better than his previous two, more energy and bite.

But in the end too little too late. In 3 weeks history will be made as I and millions of Americans vote and elect its first Black American president.

Well Sarge the commanders can never say with absolute certainty that things in Iraq will ever be safe if all the troops leave, that is how absolutely fragile the situation is there. This after over 5 years of war in Iraq. So why continue to endanger American lives, let the Iraqis fight and die for their country.

But finally some end to this insanity, US troops are supposed to leave by 2012, that's still freaking 4 years away though.

"Apparently, she has alienated some of her political supporters because of her exposure in an upcoming photo album and DVD, in which she poses in a swimsuit...."

In this day and age ain't nothing wrong or unusual about that. I've seen hotter looking women though, considering that some are calling her "too beautiful." Yeah right.
