I have to agree with Beelzebub and others, what evidence did they exactly have to charge him this time. At any rate he offed himself so that's a clear indication in my opinion that he was guilty in some manner.

Pretty cool concept, like others it would open the possibility for other airlines to serve stuff like McD's. Unfortunately I don't think they can keep the fries fresh on a long flight. At any rate a McD's big mac and nuggets probably has less fat and calories than the nasty meals they serve on most international flights.

See the problem is, SezWho, there seems to be no form of stability that seems to please the pro Iraq war crowd to a point where all the troops can leave Iraq. General Petraeus and even Condi Rice have recently been downbeat about Iraq, and their visions of a total victory long gone with the wind. Their soundbite now is that security is fragile and could reverse itself at any time. The only thing the surge did was to give a false sense of security (a lot of the calm had as much to do with ethnic cleansing of neighborhoods as it did with the surge of troops). There has to be a point where enough is enough. Thousands of troops were maimed and horrifically injured over a period of 5 years, just to achieve a false sense of security that is so fragile it even has the top American General in Iraq worried. And for this we should keep maintaining a presence in Iraq? And if things do go bad (which I hope they don't), then what, yet another surge? If I had sons in the military, no way would I be happy about sending them to Iraq. If it were a cause worth fighting and dying for sure I would support them, but for Iraq? While the Iraqi politicians and military fool around and sit on billions of oil surplus? Heck no.
It's their country, let the Iraqis die and fight for it, and let them deal with whatever happens after the troops leave. Like I said before the Iraqi politicans and military is like that child of yours that graduated college and goes from job to job and is still living at home, content with the status quo.

One of the final nails on the coffin that was known as the McCain/Palin presidential ticket.

The Secret Service confirmed Friday that it had investigated an episode reported in The Washington Post in which someone in Palin’s crowd in Clearwater, Forida, shouted “kill him,” on Monday, meaning Obama. There was “no indication that there was anything directed at Obama,” Secret Service spokesman Eric Zahren told AP. “We looked into it because we always operate in an atmosphere of caution.”
Despicable. No indication that it anything was directed at Obama? Yea, and I'm the president of the united states, this coming from the Secret Service? Some other person at a rally in Georgia someone shouted to bomb Obama. Now the bigotries and hatred are starting to expose themselves to the world.
People here have mocked me previously for mentioning that these types of things will start showing up as we near the election. As usual I was right. These are the dying last gasps of the bigots who cannot stop the phenomenon known as Barrack Obama. Threats and hatred cannot prevent a most historic moment in American history, the election of the first African American to the most powerful office in the free world.

What other options is there sarge, unless you want to keep the level of troops there, which cost taxpayers billions a month, forever. What's the point of keeping the troops in danger over a precarious situation caused by the invasion in the first place? It's the Iraqi's country, let them fight and die for it.

With only a month left mccain has no options left but to be negative as he and his mate have shown to be uninspired, tired, confused. As for him being a "war hero" being shot down and being POW doesn't automatically make you a war hero.

11 and 14 are indicative of what is so wrong with many parents the world over today. They seem to lack control of their young ones, or simply do not care how much of a disturbance they are to people around them. Why does society have to "bribe" kids to behave in the most basic of courteous ways, I was one of the most well behaved kids ever. I never screamed, cried, kicked seats, or did anything to disturb strangers. Nowadays it's the opposite with many kids and their parents let them get away with it.

That's the classic argument by the pro war crowd SuperLib. Always try to counter that whatever the U.S. does (or any other country for that matter), by saying the 'enemy' has done far worse. That's not much consolation to the father whose baby, wife, and children were destroyed by wanton airstrikes. So as long as wars are waged on those fronts, and civlian casualties are minimized and disregarded, the war on that front has been lost.

Yes airstrikes create insurgents as SezWho describes. At any rate even the US general who will soon be overseeing Afghanistan is sounding a much less optimistic note by willing to negotiate with the Taliban:

A far cry from the fire and brimstone, cowboys and indian speeches that Bush tried to rabble rouse with. Now it has come to this, negotiating with the very people that harbored and aided a man and organization that was responsible for 9/11. Sad to say but the U.S. military seems unable and unwilling to "win" in Afghanistan thanks to the disastrous policies of the Bush administration.

Come on don't be so negative. What other commercial features a product floating through space in real time, without special effects. Don't be ashamed to admit that this is a very cool product placement ad.
