Interesting. Japan is a food obsessed nation so not surprised, wondering what kind of ethnic cuisines got the stars.

What a farce. I was watching a bit of the hearings with the big 3 and it was awesome how one guy was grilling them about accountability and how time and time again the big 3's arrogance and stupidity has costed them.
This is an industry that has regularly lobbied against the very things that have always caught up to them and bit them in the arse. No longer can the big 3 smugly think they can blame all their woes on the japanese bogeymen, those days are long gone, the American public has caught onto the jig and buy quality not hype. Make no mistake the majority of this mess lies with the big 3 execs and the UAW, not anyone else or any other country.
For a GREAT commentary on this mess read the following which was emailed to me just today:

Unbelievable, they are also predicting a big demand for Wii's this holiday season yet again. That's 3 holiday seasons in a row. What I can't understand is how nintendo has been able to sustain this. I own a wii and I haven't touched it for a long time as there simply aren't any games I like. I've read of grumblings too from gamers that are not excited at all about the paltry releases by nintendo for the wii. They are all wii fit type games, not the intense first person shooters I like. Even the Xbox 360, the core model, is cheaper than the wii and is way more powerful.
Whatever they are doing it seems to be working though.

About time, sad that it took such foot dragging and senseless loss of American and coalition lives for this folly to progress. Shame on this cabinet and about time. Bring them home.

Yet another shining example of how this current administration (but not for long thank GOD) made things in Afghanistan FUBAR. It was hard enough trying to stabilize a country that requires different tactics and strategies than Iraq. Now 7 years later the taliban are not only stronger than before, but is causing the U.S. to rethink it's strategies and actually have discussions with the taliban.
No end in sight.

Yea it's justifiable to bombs away in places like Pakistan. A few dozen or more innocent civilian casualties are totally expendable if it means that SUSPECTED al qaida operatives are killed. What do they call it, collateral damage? Obviously such ratios are totally unacceptable in other countries, if this happened in the U.S. there would be unbelievable rage and condemnation. Yet in places like Pakistan it is acceptable and glossed over.
No end in sight.

Sounds dumb but let me tell you this is a very key step to prevention of overeating. Eating fast by not chewing properly, leads to overstuffing of one's self (you gorge yourself before stomach gets the signal that it is full).
With the simple act of slowing down eating, it allows your stomach to send signals that it is full.

He's dead Jim. This is a man that thrived on publicity, how telling that it's only been zawahiri that had been making noise these past few years. Laden looked gravely ill in the only absolutely confirmed video of him in november of 2001. Most likely he was killed around that time in tora bora. The bush administration felt he was dead too around that time too, yet lo and behold just in time for the 2004 election "laden" appears in a video (looking nothing like the man). All of a sudden laden is very much alive in the eyes of bush to prolong his endless wars,
If this administration had any ounce of clue, it would have publicly declared bin laden dead way back in 2002. This way it would have forced the al qaeda network to give absolute 100 percent proof laden was still alive instead of pathetic audio recordings and phony staged videos of "laden."
As it stands now in fact the very appearance that laden is still alive, after over SEVEN years of this war in afghanistan, with the world's most strongest and advanced nation unable to capture him, actually makes the U.S. military and government look very weak. This announcement by the CIA is hardly anything to gloat over.

No need to panic, violence levels are still..... Oh my word, did I just repeat myself for the third time in as many days? And two U.S. soldiers killed by the very people they are training to keep stability in the country? What's the excuse this time, blame it yet again on al qaeda of iraq infiltrators?
No end in sight. Bring the troops home.

It's about time. I was wondering why it took so long for a report about someone filming up a girl's skirt to surface in Japan related news. By the way I doubt those who would complain about other news blurbs (i.e. US service personnel's crimes) would worry one bit about news being filled with these lurid stories. Yes, even with all the big news in the world.

Once again I find some of the responses so typical and amusing for these types of news. For one thing, this IS a Japan related website. And any crime a US serviceman does is open to scrutiny, right or wrong. It would be the same if a US serviceman committed a crime anywhere else in a foreign country.
So sorry, the usual cries of xenophobism and racism are as usual baseless and without merit (as always).

No need to panic folks. Violence is still wayyyyy down compared to last year same time period. Oh wait, didn't I just say that yesterday when close to a dozen were killed by bombing attacks? Oh well, still, no need to panic folks. Stay calm.
