Rodney...If the DNA against this guy was 100% pure he would have swung by now. Do you believe what the Cops tell the papers even when they cannot back it up in court?

but the guy did stand up in court and say from his own mouth that he hadn't intended to kill the girl but.....

on the back of sudden new charges from Peru when money exchanged hands and records were suddenly formed? Plus cops laying the smack down on his family in Peru and cops torturing him in Japan? Where is the vital DNA evidence? If there was any, it would have been submitted already. This sucks.

he did it at school? he probably imagined that the girl (who does not know he exists) would rush in and save him and they would live happily ever after.

I agree with MIND, where is the DNA evidence? and I agree with NORTH. This stinks of a set up. Does a recent one spring to mind? Yeah, simple Jack and the little girl who was left to roam the streets alone.

    Sarge,

My buddy had a Lada and I had a Fiat Bambina. We both dreamed of US V8s in those days.

    WilliB,

Each religions God seems to be saying, "If you love Me and do what I tell you, everything will be fine and I'll give you eternal life. But if you don't, I'll have to destroy you."

Great role model that. If I compared myself to the concept of God, I can show more mercy. All religions are guilty of using mystification and fanaticism to justify murder. Name one that has not. (please name legit religions. Tom Cruises does not count)

If I was Toyota I would buy GM. Waiting for them to die was a mistake because they have not died. If they bought them, they own the US auto market.

I also get a kick out of seeing the surprised look on their faces

Its because they were expecting to see something without the use of a microscope.

    F1 is boring now anyway

why? this season was won and lost on the last corner of the final race of the season. There have been 4 different champions over the last 5 years in 3 different cars. That is pretty exciting. it sure beats the the inevitably of the Japanese baseball season, the European football season, The Super 14 etc...

This F1 season was great and next year shapes up to be even better with Alonso and Renault making dramatic gains.

what? my bike did this 20 years ago. Nothing new at all. How hard is it to take generator tech to a bike. belt driven , chain driven generator. No of this braking down hill to charge. Mine was driven by leg power. It even had a head and tail light.

JT, why not have a couple of social commentary cartoons on your site? surely there is someone floating around Japan who can draw up some political and social satire. It would be good to have a laugh on current events in japan.

Police said the boy was walking behind a woman entrusted with his care

I see this sometimes in Osaka. kids crossing the street while walking behind their parent. It is definitely not normal. Most people know how to take care of kids. My point is, If he/she had taken the child's hand, the chances of this accident happening would have reduced dramatically. he/she should be arrested for negligent care giving.

I did the same thing when I was 7 years old. dumped 300 local gazettes behind a bush because it was snowing and I had slid off my bike twice on ice. I had blood poring out of both knees and a bruised, grated elbow and I was very sick plus my front wheel was buckled after the first slide into a fence. I felt guilty later and confessed. Got away with a warning and never failed to deliver again.

wonder what this guys excuse was?
