I do not often agree with you, Smith. But this time I'm completely on your side. Anyway, well done Canada! The US can give it another try in Russia, because that young team will be 4 years older, more experienced and smarter by then.
Besides, on certain parts I have to agree with northlondon. The Canadians only allowed their own speed skaters to practice on the Oval Rink for the world cup last year. After many protests they gave in. But it's not really fair and far from good sportsmanship.

"just like the Koreans were jumping up and down when the Dutch guy got DQd yesterday. Payback sucks. Best not go overboard at other's misfortunes."
Complete nonsense!!! The Korean guy himself said he didn't want to win this way. He said he expected to be on the stage, but not winning the gold. He literally said that Kramer is the greatest skater at present and that he feels very sorry for his misfortune.
How can posters say such things when they don't know the real background? Because they think they know everything better!!!

It sounds like the US is playing the same dirty trick like they did about 30 years ago with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. Of course to protect Boeing! That sneaky act almost caused Mitsubishi to go bankrupt. Talking about market protection!!!!!
"Simply wanting cars that go the speed you want and stop when you want is not asking too much !"
Well, talking about American cars I can only agree with you, because that's about all they have to offer.

"Imports are 3% of the Japanes market. There ae no imports here that sell well..."
Well, if the Japanese didn't have Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Suzuki. Mitsubishi, Daihatsu, Subaru..etc.......then maybe US cars would stand a chance.

"We don't know that for sure since US imports are generally hit with a 100% price markup."
But still all those Americans keep buying Toyota's!!!! Despite your exaggerated 100% price markup. Yes!!! That's specific enough for me for sure!!

Branded, there's so much contradiction in all of your posts. If everyone says "A", you say "B". If everyone says "B", you say "no, it's A". As long as you can promote America, right? Or better.....as long as you find a chance to put Japan down.
"In Japan- you just watch how quickly Silver and Bronze medal winners are forgotten." Did you see you the interview with Nagashima and Kato, the silver and bronze medalists on the 500 today? They got those medals FIVE DAYS AGO!!!! And they only won "tarnished" medals!!
"In the US any and all medals are worthy of glory." But a medal (except gold) won by a Japanese is "tarnished", right?
"Just look at how much press Ohno, Mancuso, Shani Davis, and especially Vonn are getting- even when they bring home something other than gold !" But the Japanese press is overreacting when they do the SAME for Japanese athletes, right?Only the American media is sincere when they cheer for American silver and bronze medalists....that's what you mean? No pro-America propaganda...you say?
"But to make things worse they ignore those athletes that don't win the big one." Complete BS, Kato, Nagashima and Takahashi are carried on hands by both the media and the audience.
Branded, again and again.......for so many years.....your are just posting here to put a bad name on Japan and everything Japanese and to try to make America look so superior. That's you're only purpose.
"So you go on hatin'- I'll go on lovin' !" I'll spare you on this one

"I love how the American media continues to embrace those that finish 2nd or 3rd- nothing like the Asian countries that emphasis winning at all costs. For those of you frustrated with Japan's coverage- this is the heart of the problem I think. The Americans have figured it out- winning gold isn't the only thing- simply medaling is where it's at !"
Some five days ago this poster said that silver and bronze medals are tarnished, because.......they are not gold!!! Oh wait, that silver and bronze was for Japan. If it's for Japan they have no worth. Seems like the silver and bronze medals for America are a different story......according to the pro-America propaganda of this poster.

"You're correct; the Koreans have always been better in a number of these sports (and soccer)."
Always, you say????? Now let's check the olympic speed skating rankings. Japan got about 5 times more medals that SKorea. Soccer? Did you check the FIFA rankings, my friend? Not only for this year, but also for the previous 8 years.
The Koreans have ALWAYS been better, says smithinjapan. Sure, smith.

"The Canadian men will make it to the elimination round, if it's not already guaranteed, but again who knows what will happen from there."
You see, that's what I mean. Placing the Canadian men guaranteed in the elimination round, but at the same time saying that anything could happen. In brief....smithinjapan says it can be either A or B........ Some knowledge if you'd ask me.

Still many people around the world like it. That's why it might be an olympic discipline. But people like hellhound might dislike it. Nothing wrong with that. GO JAPAN!!!!

At least Toyota is not the same as MLC. That stands for Motor Liquidation Company.......the old name of GM before they went bankrupt.

Some posters (I checked their posts from the previous days) seem to react like a red rag to a bull on Japanese recalls. The only difference is that they don't show furiousness like the bull.....no.....they are smirking. Really sad.

NK declared to support better relations with the US and showed willingness to join the six-party talks again. It's like the US thinks this is too easy so they threw in the human rights issue to tick off the NK and to send them back into their defensive corner. Or.........Robert King is a total nut head!!

Beating Yemen under these circumstances is indeed a big deal. I'm not talking about the violence there. But because of the fact that 13 (thirteen!!!) players got an invitation for the A-squad for the first time. Too bad that people immediately start thinking that a Dutch amateur team could easily beat the number 43 of the world. But hey...that happens when you open your mouth without checking the facts first.

Well, sarcasm. Didn't you also say the move forward of the AG was a stupid move? Wait.....before you start saying that you meant it was a stupid decision to avoid the SM2 that way......we all know you didn't mean THAT!! Or....did you really mean that?
Besides, a desperate attempt and moving forward purposely are NOT the same thing to me. That's why I wondered why you started to change YOUR opinion.

First sarcasm says that there is no doubt in his mind that the Ady Gil PURPOSELY shot forward toward the SM. Less then 2 hours later he/she believes that AG's maneuver was a desperate attempt to avoid the whaling ship.
What's your next opinion, sarcasm?
