Yes, Pukey2, uncivilized Chinese!!! That's why the organization had to hand out manner guidebooks to the home crowd. Not that it helped a bit, they were even booing when Japan's opponent wasn't Chinese. And please don't compare football matches or Roland Garros with the Olympics. Behavior like this is totally unacceptable from the host of the Olympics. The japanese athletes showed their goodwill by waving Chinese flags as well during the opening ceremony. The reaction from the Chinese? Indeed.....uncivilized!!!

The so-called ear-splitting Saaa's are Japanese indeed. Others have an ear-splitting "yeaaah" or an "iiihhhhh" or "wwhhoooo". They all scream after getting a point...each one of them. Table tennis is a weird sport. Hirano? She showed self-confidence. Too bad here opponents were to weak to look through it.

Talking about the fist-pumping.......look at any table tennis game.......EVERY player is doing the same. Seems it's related to playing table tennis....not to japan only.

The Japanese media knows that Ai-chan is ranked 13th, so it's a bit exaggerated to say they think she's the best in the world.
"or am I just listening to the Japanese media a bit too much?"
I don't think so.....because you're not really a big fan of them.
Then.....where did you hear Ai-chan is the world's greatest table tennis player? In your dreams?

The home crowd a LITTLE rude? It's an absolute disgrace the way the hosts behaved. While the Japanese athletes waved a Japanese AND a Chinese flag during the opening ceremony. Luckily the Chinese media couldn't filter this out, like they can with any kind of protest by delaying live coverages with a few seconds. So they have just enough time to quickly switch to another camera. Anyway, the Chinese crowd didn't even realize how they humiliated them selfs. The booing shows they simple look up at Japan. Uncivilized Chinese!!

Seems like Pathat is only interested in mentioning who's better than Japan. Pathetic!
FYI Pathat, even with a 6 to 5 advantage for DPRK, Japan is still ranked higher in the standings. Why? Gold, Pathat!! Gold. Same reason why China is ranked higher than the US.

"Some other countries will surprise, but, Japan, outside of Kosuke Kitajima and couple others, will disappoint. Anyway, we will see how things play out soon."
And in the meanwhile you keep wishful thinking, don't you Pathat.

"Japan is developed because it adopted Western know how."
You really know how to twist things the way it suits you best, right?
The West didn't know what to do with their "know how", but Japan did!!

After the US invaded ( not liberated ) Afghanistan and Iraq this world became more unsafe than at any point in our history. Mr. Bush, thank you sir.
"Putting the blame on a 'stupid' president, the neo-conservatives, the Zionist lobby, or the Christian fundamentalists obscures the real motive force that drives America's adventures abroad. Change of presidency might alter the intensity and extremism of what is done but it would not transform the direction of travel much. The USA as the retreating hegemon is highly unstable and is a real danger to world peace regardless of who is in the White House".
