The white big part on upper left and the white notice among the flower on right draws unwanted attention. The upper part of the photo from the top of the flowers could have been cropped. A little less saturation would probably make it a better photograph. The subject is wonderful. I loved the contrast of fresh lively flower and green grass with the dead tree and an old person.

Incompetent? I would say they are considerate and law obeying.
I agree with cleo. Foreigners like us, who are used to seeing cops manhandle, may think Japanese cops are soft, but hey, they do not need to be tough cop here. I guess this is the only country left in the world where people still feels sorry and ashamed after committing crime and hand themselves over to police.

I am a foreigner and even I can easily distinguish the difference between Japanese rice and foreign rice. If you are a westerner, it is all same to you, as rice is not your staple food. Japanese and other Asians can easily taste the difference between rices.
Posted in: To protect Japanese farmers, the government promised that imported rice will not go into Japanese direct consumption. Foreign rice, including California rice, will be used for secondary purposes like prepared food.

I hope he describes the Japaneses prison condition real bad. Make it worse than whatever he experienced. Write a book, make a movie, spread the news that you do not want to be in a Japanese jail. May be that way foreigners will think twice (or more) before bringing in drugs to Japan.

I wonder...if you wreck your car like that....do they still allow you drive in future? I mean, the drivers must be really bad at driving to hit a guardrail with that much speed!
And as much as I praise the safety measures of the car, they should also look into the quality of that guardrail, which didn't even bend after a crash like that! WOW!
