Wolfpack, like other posters on this forum, you seem to be blaming Arafat for the failure of negotiations between the Israelis and Palestinians. I strongly recommend you watch (on YouTube) a discussion between Finkelstein and Schlomo Ben Ami, the latter was very much involved in these peace deals on the Israeli side. You will learn something, and change your views.

According to international law, they are illegal. It seems only Israel and a few misinformed forum posters say otherwise.
If a woman simply goes up to a man and scratches his face, that is obviously wrong. But if while a man is violently raping a woman, the woman scratches the rapist's face, why would people like you complain about the scratching and ignore or even condone the raping? In such a situation, I would find the scratching a perfectly normal response and would try to put an end to the raping, not holding her hands down to prevent her from scratching.

Hey what is radical about demanding that the Israelis respect international law and get out of the Occupied Palestinian Territories?
Furthermore, they are not just my views. Practically the entire world population, the International Court of Justice, the UN, the EU foreign affairs council and other qualified groups all say that the land beyond the 1967 borders belongs to the Palestinians and that all "settlements", including in East Jerusalem, are illegal under international law and an obstacle to peace. UN Secretary General Kofi Annan said: "The whole world is demanding that Israel withdraw [from occupied Palestinian territories]. I don't think the whole world ... can be wrong."
Peace with the Palestinians is indeed impossible, but if its anyone's fault, its clearly the Israelis' because not only do they refuse to hold on to the Occupied Palestinian Territories, they continue to take more, while demolishing Palestinian homes and uprooting trees from their orchards.

The Israelis' actions are THE obstacle to peace, they do not want peace, they never have, and likely never will want peace.

Indeed, anything short of this is unacceptable; the entire world is demanding the Israelis move back to the 1967 borders.
Most, if not all, of the world already does. A number of countries have already officially recognized a Palestinian State within the 1967 borders.
That Israel does not welcome recognition of a Palestinian state further confirms that they are intent on completely wiping Palestine off the map.

And we are still expected to believe these liars, that it was a weapon smuggling tunnel, and not one used to smuggle other things which people in any other part of the world would have access to (medicine, food, chocolate, fridge,...).
Yeah, and in a gesture of evil war criminals they prevent them from traveling to Bethlehem the remainder of the year. Who do they think they are controlling the lives of Palestinians.

Within 3 years after the end of WWII, 70-80% of Palestinians were brutally expelled from their land. The Israelis' recent actions in Lebanon, Gaza, and the attack on the humanitarian flotilla reflects well what kind of mentality they continue to have to this day. Unlike what the MSM is constantly suggesting, the Palestinians do not want to kill all Jews, they just want to live free on their own land.

Everything beyond the 1967 borders is not part of Israel; it never was and never will be. All we need for a viable Palestinian state is for the Israelis to get out of Palestine and to let the Palestinians live free lives.

Just force Israel to start respecting international law, and the conflict will end immediately.

No, it sums up the MSM reporting. We read about the "lightly wounding" of an Israeli girl (and must be extremely light for AP to include it) but we do not hear about the constant shooting of Palestinian kids, as described by Congressman Brian Baird (check the video).
I don't; that is why I criticize Israel!

This sentence is such typical AP BS. It is well established that at that time, the Israelis broke the ceasefire when they killed a number of Palestinians. And the last part should say "1,400 Palestinians dead, mostly civilians".
I getting fed up with the west tolerating the Israelis keeping the Palestinians under terrible conditions in a concentration camp, that is what Gaza is. Why is the MSM silent about it? Why doesn't the MSM cover what Congressman Brian Baird describes in this UTube video titled "Let Us Call On Israel To STOP SHOOTING CHILDREN! Congressman Brian Baird."

Yeah, you're probably right, considering the Israelis took all the best land, leaving only a few tiny scattered pieces of land for the Palestinians, and considering the Israelis' terrible behavior over the past several decades.
The most likely solution, and the fairest, would be a one-state solution (with the right of return for the displaced Palestinians) where every person has equal rights; i.e., DEMOCRACY.
I very much agree. The only support they get is from some bribed/blackmailed leaders; bribed using some of the massive financial aid Israel receives.

Indeed they are probably also behind most similar bombings in Iraq (and Afghanistan). Do you remember a few years ago when the Iraqis found two Brits dressed up as Arabs in a car filled with explosives, and how the British forces did all they could to release them from the newly liberated Iraqi people? What's up with that?
So we know that they are behind at least some of the bombings...

When you behave the way the Israelis have always behaved, what do you expect, to be greeted with flowers? Within 3 years after the liberation of Auschwitz, 70-80% of Palestinians were brutally expelled from their land, and you believe the Palestinians should show them love? Their recent actions in Lebanon, Gaza, and the attack on the humanitarian flotilla reflects well what kind of mentality they have.
Apparently not, it was not enough for some. Anyway, instead of splitting hairs (ala kinniku) lets focus of the facts, that practically the entire world, the International Court of Justice, the UN, the EU foreign affairs council and other qualified groups all say that the land belongs to the Palestinians and that all settlements, including in East Jerusalem, are illegal under international law and an obstacle to peace. The Israelis' actions are THE obstacle to peace, they do not want peace, they never have, and likely never will want peace.

No. I wanted to demonstrate that it was not just a popular belief, or the Arab world. In addition to practically all the people of the world believing it, it is also accepted by official organizations with in depth knowledge of international law. You see, it is only Israel who claims that Israel is in any way entitled to this land.
That is what is so frustrating for the Palestinians. This conflict is so clear and unambiguous, all the Palestinians want is to live free and to return to their land, their homes, their orchards; but all we hear on the MSM is that they are terrorists and Israel has the right to defend itself BY ANY MEANS.

Yeah, apparently Jews lived there in ANCIENT time, which did not last very long. How does that give them the right today to demolish so many homes of Palestinians who had been living there for centuries. And the vast majority of Jews who live in Israel are not even descendants of the Israelites. Their religion gives them that right?

Indeed, that is their modus operandi.
So if "Obama condemned the attack and said the United States stands with the loved ones of those killed and with the Iranian people", why does he support such terrorists.

The entire world, the International Court of Justice, the UN, and others all say that it belongs to the Palestinians.
By "others", I am referring to other groups. For example, very recently the EU foreign affairs council stated: "Our views on settlements, including in East Jerusalem, are clear: they are illegal under international law and an obstacle to peace."
That says it all. It is crystal clear that the Israelis are the obstacle to peace, they do not want peace, they never have, and likely never will want peace.
