Or maybe if the Mexicans slipped into the US and slaughtered a few kids in land the US conquered from Mexico.

No! That was a long time ago, when there were not international laws like today. There are no UN resolutions condemning the US occupation of this land. We do not have the entire world community condemning the US for occupying this land.

The concept is actually quite easy to understand, unless you stubbornly refuse to accept it.

And havent they given some of that land back? Gaza and Sinai ring a bell.

Gazans still do not control their own border. They cannot freely leave/enter their own land. They can't export. There are many things they still cannot import. Even when they grow their own food, Israel sends in large tractors escorted by tanks to destroy their crops (recent YouTube video documents this).

So you are choosing to ignore hundreds of years of history and restart history in 1967 are you?

No, you are. For several hundreds of years, that was Palestinian land, not Israeli.

But in recent history, the world community has been following clear international rules, which Israel chooses to ignore by stealing land.

Israel has been ignoring the same international community whose recognition of Israel has been used to legitimize it.

"Israel is wiping Palestine off the map!" and Israel's arab neighbours have on numerous times vowed to do the same to Israel. And have attempted to do so several times would you not agree.

You're simply repeating a zionist talking point. There is one side who has, since the start, been doing the vast majority of killing, terrorizing, and map-wiping; the Israeli side.

Land has indeed been gained by war in ancient history, but in recent history, for example since the "creation" of Israel, international law has been very clear. Ever since 1967, the UN and the entire international community has urged Israel to leave the land it occupied illegally.

"I can't believe there are parents who choose to raise a family in illegally occupied land!" so what you are saying there is they deserved what they got because they where on the land illegally in your opinion.

No. First of all, we don't know who did it or why. But how would you feel about parents bringing along their kids when committing armed bank robbery? Its a shame kids were killed, but I do not at all feel sorry for adult Israelis who choose to live there.

Israel captured the West Bank, Gaza and east Jerusalem in the 1967 Mideast war.

International law is very clear about the inadmissibility of gaining land by war. Israel has since 1967 been illegally occupying that land. They must leave all of it, the Occupied Palestinian Territories does not belong to the Israelis, even if some people choose to call them "settlements"..

The March 11 attack, which Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas called “despicable, immoral and inhuman,”

Yeah, but so is the fact that Israelis continue to illegally occupy that land. I can't believe there are parents who choose to raise a family in illegally occupied land!

it the safest, and most pleasant, with no hangover, like the killer alcohol.

I guess you meant unlike the killer alcohol. But I agree, the main side effects are that gives you appetite and makes you sleep really well.

It should be legalized worldwide immediately.

Indeed, and its a beautiful plant.

It is a fact that marijuana can make persons crazy and do foolish things.

That is indeed what supporters of the US cotton growers said several decades ago.

In my opinion, the only bad thing it does is to make people a little slow.

USA banned hemp not because of MJ but because hemp-oil would be a good lubricant, etc and would have been cheaper than oil-based lubricants.

I thought it was due to pressure from the cotton growers.

There are restrictions on who can grow hemp and the plants need to be cut at a certain height, to prevent the production of MJ, etc.

I thought they used a different plant for industrial hemp, one that does not produce the active ingredient THC.

Israel got a boost from the visiting U.S. defense chief, who said no country could tolerate the “repugnant” attacks on its soil.

... except Palestine, they must tolerate decades of occupation, imprisonment, terrorism.

All Israel has to do to stop these "repugnant" attacks is to stop the illegal occupation and start following international law and principles of common human decency.

They found the killer, he is not Palestinian. If "a Pal organization claimed responsibility", I am sure this article would have mentioned it.

Violence has been on the rise, with the knife slaying this month of a Jewish settler family as they slept...

Again, more typical AP "journalism". They conveniently left out the fact that the killer in that knife slaying is not Palestinian. And they also always mention that Israeli attacks are in retaliation for Palestinian attacks, while possible reasons for the Palestinian attacks are NEVER mentioned, they always seem to be out of the blue.

Japanese media want to avoid panic while the western media want to increase ratings. The truth is probably somewhere in between.

Seems this invasion was planned a long time ago. Look up "Wesley Clark: Decision made to invade 7 countries after 911", Libya was on the list.

The US doesn't "take the resources", US companies pay a fair price for the resources and also build hospitals, schools and other infrastructure and provide various aid.

Oh my! Do you really believe that? Check out John Perkins' writings, you'll learn something.

    WHAT DO YOU WANT?

I want the fighting to stop and for the Libyan people to benefit from the country's resources. The US has a very long history of bullying/bribing leaders to let them take the resources, with the general population getting shafted. The US (and friends) have never had a valid reason to attack and occupy Iraq and Afghanistan.

Obama, Clinton, and the "international community" are going to sit back and watch Gadhafi's slaughter from the comfort of their posh mansions and embassies.

If its fine for American forces to be slaughtering Iraqis and Afghans, why shouldn't Gadhafi not be allowed to do the same?

    AdamB,

According to Veterans Today: "According to news sources inside Israel, “troops” are being hired across Africa, Uganda, Sudan, Chad and the Central Africa Republic, including Al Qaeda fighters, to be deployed against demonstrators and rebel forces currently involved in heavy fighting in a two week old attempt to overthrow the Libyan ruler that has left thousands dead."

If these reports are true, that Israel is helping one side and Saudi Arabia the other, it would basically mean that the US is (indirectly) financing and arming both sides. This would indicate that they want heavy fighting and casualties to go on, probably to give them a pretext to go in and fix the problem (i.e., invade and occupy).

I guess they can stay. Maybe they are just worried about being overtaken by the Sunnis.

British and Dutch special forces have already been captured in Libya, and I wonder how many more there are. And Russian satellite data revealed that at least some of the reports of Gadhafi's aerial bombings are false. And we have Israel providing weapons and mercenaries to Gadhafi, and the US asking the Saudis to give weapons to the rebels. And we know that we can't count on western governments and media to tell us the truth (we should expect the opposite).

Considering all this, its hard to figure out what is going on, who is doing what, and why.

It certainly is not as crystal clear as in Tunisia and Egypt.

Anyway, what makes the people of the Alladin Project think that anyone in Iran would want to see this 26-year-old Israeli-funded movie?
