Something different and an attempt by a pop artist to embrace and show her life change rather than just go on hiatus for a few years. I wonder if the song content is as reflective?

Why are you using 'sic' when there's nothing to quote? You might write 'chauvanistic (sp?)'.
I think the author has a point. How about a reversal of the usual TV situations, where a woman is in charge? And a man is given the pitiful task of reading out questions, nodding, smiling, and agreeing with the hosts' rants. That would go down a treat, surely. Or would the housewives be jealous of women with a 'real' job as talent-herder?

I can understand them not trusting banks, but really, when the economy went balls up, they should've sent that cash to overseas bank accounts.
To have large amounts of cash in the home and tell people about it ... That's just inviting trouble.

"America's mistakes are overwhelmed by what America has meant to the hopes and aspirations of people throughout the world"
Complete fail. The fact that this guy thinks America's good acts automatically outweigh its bad without any assesment, or that guilt is as simple as a balance of scales rather than a series of unconnected matters each with their own seperate responsibilites makes him extremely dangerous.

He's doing exactly what he should do. A lot of people were regarding the US more and more poorly because they refused to recognise their mistakes publicly. Admitting to deficiencies and recognising them is the first step to repairs and to making others believe you are sincere.
This was the perfect time for Obama to be critical.

Did anyone see Hana Yori Dango this week? It was on TV in Kansai in the afternoon on Saturday, I think. The episode started in Times Square, where a Japanese with almost no English begged a friendly-seeming fatherly white guy for help. After passing a few black people. When she answered his question "How do you want to get there?" with 'I AM BUS!' he drawled "Jesuhs Chriyst!" and stormed off. Then a black man stole her bag and ran away.
I'm sure New Yorkers and black Americans especially would be thrilled with the image put out in the episode...

He sounds monstrous. But I can't understand why he's blurted this out. It's like he's asking all the victims to point the finger so he can get a lifetime of 'delicious' prison food.
Or have the cops leant on him to say this?

Here's betting they thought that passing on the wrong side of the road was just a formality after they saw their parents and other J-drivers crossing the orange line to get past people in a hurry.
What a terrible waste.

Wow. Why don't they send her to some starving nations to promote such a 'healthy' outlook. What an epic failure. The very worst possible thing she could say.
And who has time to sit around waiting for her to come home to get her fix? I don't think the carrots in her fridge count...

I'm not sure if a club dance scene counts as the kind of 'live music' most of the posters are on about. Given that they mention doing it on work nights, probably not that many people want to stay out past midnight anyway.

Yeah, I think you're getting carried away, northlondon. I felt the poster's intention was reflecting on the fact that many Japanese consider a 100% Japanese face as 'Japanese' and haafus as curiosities.
I'd love for you to be right. A person's nationality in my mind is where they grew up and where they feel at home. But tell me, when you ask an ordinary Japanese what words they associate with her, apart from 'sexy' and 'model', you're going to hear 'half-Japanese' a lot.
I wish Japan could look upon half-Japanese as the same. But if in other countries with high immigration like Australia, it still takes years and years for that idea to filter into popular conciousness, it's got a long way to go here.
My question for the article... Is 'meet her match' really an appropriate title when the only thing that pertains to is in the last line? It sounds nice, doesn't mean much though.

Yeah, a bit of a rubbish article, but since we're all taking the chance to complain: - people who never, ever stop on ambers. I like to count the number of cars that follow me through an orange light which is too late for me to stop, but those behind me ought to be able to stop for. The fact that the writer didn't mention this and got done for speeding suggests he's a leadfoot. - People crossing orange lines to overtake you when the total road is only wide enough for two cars. Impatient -------- that need to be caught and fined. - Complete lack of sidewalks and shoulders for safety. A part of Japanese geography, but still infuriating. - People who think once they get into a carpark they should just drive where they please, forgetting which side of the road they drive on normally.
I could go on an on.

A quick net search shows that yes, it's a love hotel, with rates for 2h or 12h in the daytime. There are cosplay uniforms available, etc etc.
At the least they'll have good camera footage of him.

This guy was there to get material so he could fap away, no doubts.
It might be a public area, but the simple fact is that if you take photos of anyone who's naked, you're violating their privacy. Yes, they might be out in public, but if they're too young to really know better, the onus is on the photographer.
I think anyone who searches their feelings and asks 'Would I like that guy looking at pictures of me in the buff in his home?' will realise the truth to this. And it effectively means that no, he doesn't have a right to photograph what he sees in public if it constitutes a breach of someone's privacy.
Note that I'm not saying you can't take photos of a couple strolling under the cherry blossoms or having an argument. But there's a line between capturing something human and something intimate in which you are not included.
Off-topic a bit, now. But this guy has way too many photos to call it an accident. Sicko.
