One fisherman vs four construction workers...seems unfair business practice.

Which one most of the people want to choose let's say if someone give them an option being detained in Chinese prison or Japanese prison. Especially these four Fujita employee is white-collar workers they will surprise to know about the street-life in prison.

"The stubborn holding of civilian captain is going to be a nightmare for Japan's economy." Seriously doubt that. Japan is China's largest trading partner after the US and depends on Japan for manufacturing jobs and a market for Chinese goods.

I have to say, Chinese really know how to deal with Japanese. If you play nice with Japanese they just try to keep things for their favor or at least they will try to buy time until the issue vanish from public attention.

Police said that Masuta has neither admitted to nor denied the charges, and that she has been warned before by police for hitting middle and high school students.

She should be arrested otherwise people will consider double standard for law. What high school students did was not properly well manner but is not illegal. What she did involve physical abuse which is punishable by law!

To NightFlesh: Since you concern about the noise how about the people who having normal social conversation in the train, sometimes they can be pretty loud as well right?

Agree with Patrick Smash, realist and ratpack. The amount of noise pollution resulted from talking in the phone is much less compare to two person or more having a chat. So the reason that talking in the phone making noise pollution is obviously out of question.

Having this incident and poster about manners in Subway would lead another rampage in the future. Since the tension in big city is already high the poster only give excuse for these stress people to relieve their stress to people who doesn't "comply" with these set of manners.

Poor Matsukawa, he will have to face the Law for sure whereas the person who considerably break fabricated-manner rule did nothing that could break the law.

Lucky her, what if they failed to catch the real culprit? They will force her to make false confession as before.
