A full year after the event???? And and trail has yet to start? Whats taking so long?

They are too busy to get confession from the innocents that didn't do any crime at all. For the criminals caught in the act the process is much easier since the law enforcement has plenty evidences and witnesses.

She made me sign the divorce papers that gave her full custody, that was written in KANJI, my not knowing how to reay Kanji, signed it under the pretext of it was a insurance application for us and BAM!!! Divorced and no right to my daughter whatsoever.

Okisurfer sorry to hear that. I never heard story about how Kanji can be very critical especially in Legal Document. The document I signed mostly the legal document from Immigration and Ward office. These document only gave me two option, sign it or leave it. For the time being I always ask my Japanese friend whenever I have some legal document to sign. I think for your case your ex-wife the one who translate the legal document for the time being, it's hard when you have translator that have their own agenda.

A 52-year-old man was arrested for indecent assault early Thursday morning, accused of touching a 19-year-old girl’s breasts and buttocks as she sat on a staircase in Warabi City.

That's much better when the real-chikan is not necessary to go inside crowded train to get the victim where the accusations sometimes can lead to another innocent person in the train. This way the victim can point the finger more accurate rather pointing finger randomly to unfortunate innocent person in crowded train.

The United States had received reports of 73 cases of parental abductions involving 104 children in Japan, said Michele Bond, the U.S. State Department’s deputy assistant secretary for overseas citizen services. In 29 more cases, all family members were in Japan, but the U.S. parent was denied access to a child after a separation or divorce, she said. Britain, France and Canada between them reported 95 similar cases.

The Numbers speak very loud, no way to elude this time.

"How come the routine check missed this leakage? That's something subject to further investigation." It certainly is! Also I want confirmation on which airline this is! KnowBetter claims it's United..

Few years ago Ana Bombardier DHC8-Q400 made emergency landing because of the front landing gear can not function properly. After the investigation they discover dislodged bolt caused the accident, checking this bolt never listed in routine check. Ana was doing the best thing they could, the pilot landed the plane safely without no casualties. So for Ana case the one who had responsibility was the DHC8-Q400 manufacture since the checking routine procedure was issued by the manufacture. For the Sgt Bartek Bachleda case, we still have to wait who really responsible whether the ground crew or manufacture. Sometime little crack that could lead potential leakage can not seen by human-eye, it needs nondestructive inspection methods to be discovered.

Wow, don't these planes have systems to detect this sort of thing?

Planes technology sometimes seem sophisticated but most of the time is not that sophisticated as we expected. For this case from the cockpit point of view the thing they could see only the fuel volume/mass that getting decrease from time to time.

A fuel leak on a civilian aircraft caught the attention of Staff Sgt Bartek Bachleda, 909th Air Refueling Squadron boom operator, during a flight from Chicago to Narita airport last week. After alerting the pilots and aircrew, the ranking pilot made the decision to divert the flight to San Francisco.

    Great job Sgt, carry on!
