Subtitles all the way. AlfGarnett, sorry that you will only watch movies in English. You are missing out on some very good movies from all over the world.

I would recommend the movie "Crossing" (Korea) to everyone. Also, "Okuribito" (Japan) is also a great film that is very artistic with a very good message. Anyone else have some recommendations? I would love to hear!

Thank you LoveUSA you hit it on the nail! Japan has great service and for those of you that don't like go back to the USA and I bet you'll be back here before too long. Also, you can't care McDonald's in Japan to a high-end restaurant in America. If you compare McDonald's in Japan with McDonald's in America and a high-end restaurant in Japan and a high-end restaurant in America than you can more accurately compare the two. They both have their positives and negatives but I would much rather prefer to eat out in Japan then in America any day.

I agree that Japans service is far and above better than that in America despite the fact that Americans have an incentive to give good service (that 15% tip) while the Japanese don`t.

As far as refilling your glass goes, I think the waiters here just aren`t as accustomed to filling them up constantly as the Japanese tend to not drink as much as westerners do.

Not only is the service better but the quality of food is also much better!

This wasn't about politics to begin with. This is about a state that is suffering significantly because the federal government isn't doing its job to protect the border. Arizona has over 400,000 illegal immigrants living in it and these people are getting a free ride on the government as they don't pay taxes. This law is already on the books its just that the federal government isn't enforcing it and so Arizona has taken action to start enforcing it themselves. I am glad to say that my state is already working on a similar law. I love all the immigrants to America but there is a proper and legal way to do it that needs to be followed by everyone.

@smithinjapan....you couldn't be any more wrong. Majority of Americans support the law in Arizona and if it makes it to the supreme court than it is expected that the conservative supreme court would allow the law to be enforced.

And don't go on how people are closed minded that support this law just because a few crazy people sent threats to the judge. There are overzealous, crazy people on both sides of any issue. This is a law that is needed! I am all for people coming to America to fulfill there dreams but there is a legal way to do it that everyone must follow!

Don't make any changes Gov. Brewer. This law is needed and once you make it through the liberal 9th circuit court the conservative supreme court will uphold this law and Arizona will be able to prosecute the laws that the federal government is failing to do. Hope my state follows with a similar law soon!

@sarge....tv reported that their were 4000 people at it and from just looking at this picture I don`t know if it was 4000 but I get the feeling it was at least in the thousands....glad people showed up to welcome them home. They deserve it after their performance.

@ii1980 They will get a good homecoming...All the Japanese people I have talked with this morning are still very proud of the teams accomplishments despite the loss last night. And as far as I have read and heard since the U.S. lost is what is wrong with U.S. soccer and what went wrong in this World Cup. I think Japan will be getting a much better welcome than the U.S. did as at least people in Japan will recognize them unlike the Americans that have already forgot about soccer for the next 4 years.

lostrune2...I may be wrong but pretty sure Tiger Woods is no longer #1. Im a huge Tiger Woods fan, but even if he is still #1 is doesnt deserve to be for at least the time being.

Ai chan is really playing great and I expect her to win a major soon.

Couldnt help but feel bad for the North Koreans, but the way the rules are set up Portugal had to score as many goals as possible. Heres to hoping that Brazil returns the favor though and humbles the Portuguese players especially pretty boy Ronaldo. (Sorry but never been a fan of the "elitist" European teams!)

Sure we can hate the North Korean government all we want (and we definitely have plenty of reasons to do so) but that shouldnt spill over to a soccer match. We should be able to separate the government from the citizens who suffer greatly due to their government. Hopefully, the soccer team will be treated well upon their return but unfortunately they probably wont. If anyone wants to see more of how much the people of North Korea truly suffer I highly recommend watching the South Korean film "Crossing". Its based on a true story and really details the plight that most North Koreans face everyday.

Really sickening story and things like this happen way too often but those of you who think this is only a Japan problem need to venture out. I do agree, however, that Japan needs to do a better job at treating mental illness. God bless the boy and hopefully justice is served in this case.

tkoind2....I don`t think Japan is the only trendy country. Every country is the same way including the US. There were people camping out for days when the iPad was released in the US and I have been to places in the US where people waited in line for 4 hours for Krispy Kream doughnuts.

I agree though that your smarter to wait for the 2nd or 3rd generation to come out.
