I always liked: "It's like a finger pointing to them moon. Don't concentrate on the finger, or you'll miss all that heavenly glory."

In this case, they can be treated as spies, right? Different set of rules for them.

I love books. I especially love used book stores. Not like Book Off, the real old bookstores. Lots of gems out there. That being said, I have read more books in the last 5 years or so than I had in the previous 10 years. They are all e-books, which for me also includes pdfs. I have also enjoyed a fair number of audiobooks too. The Bourne Trilogy (original by Ludlum) is a really excellent audiobook. These are not fads, they are here to stay. With the iPad they may get more showy, with background music and perhaps moving illustrations, but I wouldn't get into that. I just like reading, and reading on my pda, or listening to an audiobook on my iPod is a lot easier when commuting in Japan on a bus or a train.

Sounds great, but will all this internet telephone stuff affect the speed of the internet? Just curious if anyone knows. It would be nice to get lower rates on calls to the States.

The design looks great, like the pattern.

    Cool photos here: http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/wafrica-kimono

The makeup on the model unfortunately reminds me of Al Jolsen or Rats And Stars.

If I buy this book, and it is not a "Complete Guide to Fake Toys" as it is titled, I'm gonna sue somebody.... Looks like a fun book to flip through.

This story has a huge mistake in it. It starts, "Police on Monday arrested an unemployed 60-year-old man for..." It seems to me that the man is employed, and doing quite well for himself at the expense of these girls. What happens to all of the money that he has made during this venture? Is it confiscated? If so, where does it go?

This is a very sad story, and I feel for Masaya Sato's family, colleagues, and friends. Everyone has stated the problems with drinking and crowded platforms, etc., in Japan. I can't help but wonder, if this hadn't been a famous person, how big would the headline be? Or would we have even known about it? I have a sad feeling that it would have been a three-line story in the back of the paper somewhere.

With the possible chance of seeing Haruka Ayase, I would do it.

Agree with cleo and proudnippon. Any dog owner will soon see that this is a waste of money. Let's think "eco", a cardboard box is collapsible and could be used in much the same way. A more important question is, why is such an enclosure necessary? It really bugs me, maybe it shouldn't, every time a new product or magazine comes out with the blanket word "pet". Pet does not equal dogs and cats. There are loads of other pets out there. Our bird would either chew its way out, or just fly out of this thing, depending on its mood.

I was hoping he would be a victim, therefore being on the screen and acting as little as possible. Oh well, CSI has been going down a bit since William Peterson left.

I like the way this article ends. "The pair were finally caught after they set up an encounter between a 22-year-old female member and three male members on May 14 of this year." So why/how were they caught? Were any of these "members' undercover cops? Talk about leaving your readers hanging.

If you haven't had a chance to see her movies, check 'em out. For those of you curious, she is just as outspoken in Japanese. Really refreshing. "Caterpillar" is based on a story by Edogawa Ranpo. He wrote some creepy stuff. I loved the story "The Human Chair" too. Can't wait to see this movie. (If you haven't figured it out, Ranpo was a big fan of Edgar Allen Poe.) Here's a good link for the movie:

Mackeson Stout is great. I also had an amazing German beer, from a small local brewery, but alas I can not recall the name...

de Jong should have been red-carded in the first half. That high kick was really bad. There were a lot of hard tackles by the Dutch, but half of the free kicks were called for the diving competition put on by the Spanish. I thought that Iniesta should have gotten his second yellow card in the second half for diving, and then knocking down a Dutch player. The Spanish did use Holland's tough tactics to their advantage though. The foul by Puyol on Robben should have been called. Maybe not a PK, but a free kick just outside the box. The missed corner kick was a huge error by the linesman and the ref. Sorry, it was just too obvious to miss, had the potential of changing the game, since Iniesta may not have had a chance at a goal after the corner. Oh well, Spain was the better team in the tournament though. Octopus 1 Bird 0

See, the whale is a traditional figure, it's in purple on the bottom. Just kidding, don't want to start anything. Origami is amazing, and these traditional ones are classic. There are some people who can make incredible things out of origami, like praying mantis and dragons. Here is an old article from Discovery magazine: http://discovermagazine.com/2006/jul/origami

This is almost as bad as Bush's Katrina, and that still isn't over. Both are truly horrible disasters, and on top of that they are in the same region. I think that this disaster will have far more repercussions than Katrina though. Hopefully BP and the government can get their acts together and deal with this.
