I would say it doesn't matter as long as the teacher is perfect in the Language and the students like his/her accent.

I have done it. I received messages from all sorts but since I was looking for someone very specific and in a specific situation where I would not be able to meet such a person easily, I could find her thanks to the internet and she is an amazing woman. She is the only one I met via the site. She easily tops any woman I have ever met through usual means and we will likely marry next year.

Wow! How interesting! And here I thought J women can be anything you want them to be...:)

I won't live together before marriage. Reason: I don't want to lose my freedom, don't want to share the household expenses and don't want to end up wearing apron at home like the Japanese women while still having the title 'single woman'....:)

In this modern time of people doing yoga and going to the gym, I'm amused that JT's still asking about what food/drink to be recommended. The answer is clear. Exercise and eat healthy food.

As for my comment, I do sympathize with those hosts & hostesses!

Bar hostesses are people one rank above fast food workers and one rank below prostitutes. They should be happy that they have a job because they are not qualified to perform normal work and if they don't like their work conditions, get out of the industry and go elsewhere.

Have you been in a situation where you have to feed your children and yet not qualified to perform normal work? You surely would resort to any sort of jobs....

Hmm..I bet their boutique employees would ignore me if I dont walk in with a professional suit and make up...It's not that I wish to buy, but I just wanted to research about their products for some potential buyers.

What's this eye for an eye thing. Never solves anything. YOu would just produce a more violent person. I suggest solitary confinement for a few months (min 3 cause we all know how much Japanese people like to be alone, so a month would be like a vacation, but 3+ hmmm) for reflection plus councelling :)

LOL. Hopefully he'll send her an apology letter and pay for all her medical expenses too. Normal J formality craps.

I'd rather see a clearer pic of the sakura than the obaa-chans.

I'd like to get a copy of her book and look as young as she is at 53!

vowed to “keep striving to be young so I don’t get called an ‘Oba-san.’”

yeah, yeah...only on TV..I bet she sounds oba-san in real life. I've met some actresses before who look so elegant and refined on commercials and in reality....just like any ordinary J oba-san..lol

I can only hope that other young girls who read this book will learn how stupid it is to date a man who is already taken.

Dolphingirl: I don't mean to be bitchy but in reality most J women don't give a damn if the man is someone's husband or bf or whatever...they'll grab him if they want to..just look around and watch ....:)

the 71-year-old man fell from the platform. His 79-year-old friend jumped down onto the tracks to try and lift him up but failed.

True friendship...something I miss here in Japan!

Comment to Some wives wish their husbands would hurry up and drop dead

Selfish human beings! They already spent their husbands' money to have a good life, gym, social club, golf, afternoon tea + bitchings with friends. Now they want their husbands to hurry up and drop dead...?
