    Terri llyod is drawing his information from a very narrow base and his perspective does not reflect the broader realities in Japan . . Japanese business people and students tpday eagerly strive to work and study overseas. . But like any THINKING person, they are reluctant to go to countries where unsanitary conditions, polictical instability & despotism, health issues are a pressing concern. Wake up Terri - - - one "study" does not a phenonomenon make .

    I feel for these guys and their families. Really, waste of lives. Why send these young men and women to go and die for people who do not want peace?

    Precisely, Proffesor! Perhaps the money-making war industry or the arms-for- drugs black market continues to offer these young lives on the alter of sacrifice for a lost cause.

    Why the hell doesn't Japan just whip him through the courts and end this? Calling for calm will only serve to enrage the sleeping dragon even more

    Because in true demoncracies with a constitutional justise system there is such a thing called "due process". . . Something China's government - *steeped in the history of mercurial machinations of dictorial whim *- does NOT UNDERSTAND !!!!

    I think Pope Benedict addressing this serious crisis within the Church in the manner he has, is signifcant. I give him credit. I trust that the Church will do more in actually helping ( for eg. covering costs for therapy etc) victims heal . .
