Judging by the way things are going in Japan lately, he'll be out of jail in a couple of years.

8 years for murdering a 95 year old woman, and 3 years for murdering a six year old girl. Less with time served and good behavior. There is something seriously wrong with the justice system in Japan when a perfect conviction rate is more important than justice and protecting people.

Sorry readers, but I didn't read about the other things she did before posting the first time. Way to pawn your psycho kid off on others dad. You should've put her into a treatment facility when she tried to kill you. I hope you are haunted by the victim for the rest of your life. And I hope her parents sue your pants off.

Are you frikken kidding me? You murder your kid and only get three years (maybe less for good behavior). There's something seriously wrong with the "justice" system in Japan.

The mother died last year and the dad is already married? He must have been really heartbroken. No wonder th daughter is messed up.

I watched Hachioji's fireworks last night. For some reason it seemed a bit lame this year. I even heard other people asking each other "That's it?" after the finale.

No booze, no women, be home by 10. Sounds like they're still living with mom and dad.

Never mind the "legality" of it. If you have unprotected sex with someone who has had multiple partners, its like playing Russian roulette. And there are plenty of STDs other than HIV which will ruin you. A wise friend once told me "The benefit has to be worth the risk." (though we weren't talking about this topic). Is it worth your life or health?

I did this type of work for several years after retiring from the military. There were many times when I was stressed, but I never felt the need to beat anyone. In fact, it was difficult not to start loving some of the people we cared for. I found myself wishing we had more time or less of a workload in order to give better care instead of just enough care.

When I first moved here, I thought people were doing it to keep dirt from being tracked into the house. But I've learned since then.

@ wontond - I agree. At 40 (kinda old to have a baby anyway), I'm bettin she was a single parent and the "father" wasn't involved. The Okinawan sun is brutal. There's no way she didn't know what would happen. She didn't want the responsibility/impediment to her lifestyle. So she tried to make it look like an accident. But that's just my opinion.
