At least they didn't even bother to go through the motions with Democratic Party of Japan President Ichiro Ozawa. If they had and he had done something illegal, he would have just gotten a suspended sentence anyway.

status = suspended sentence in Japan. No matter what, it seems, if you are a gov't official, or some body else who has high social status, you will never go to jail. I'll ask it again, how do you expect to deter crime if there is no consequence?

thepro - I was about to say the same thing. The DMZ is very heavily mined. If he made it into the DMZ (unlikely) without being shot, he would have eventually stepped on one.

The real reason these launches upset people is this...everybody knows North Korea has nukes. What they don't have is a reliable way to deliver them any real distance. Once they develop a way to do that, look out.
