Why on earth did it take 30 minutes for help to arrive? Especially if the accident happened in a populated area.

Even if he's never caught, he won't escape judgement. Remember the movie Titanic, where all the dead people were waiting for that one old lady when she died at the end of the movie? The same will happen to him, in a bad way.

Gold is selling for about $24 per gram right now. That means 6 kilos of gold is worth about $144,000. So, if you do the yen to dollar conversion, they're charging you about $306,000 for about $144,000 worth of gold (that's if the calendar is 24 karat). That's just plain stupid.

There's no way a judge will allow an eight-year-old boy to be tried as an adult. So, if he is "convicted" he may go to a detention facility until he's 18. Then he will be released, and his record sealed. So he will start his adult life with a clean slate.
Any evidence obtained from the initial interview mentioned in the story will likely not be usable in court.

There's a surprise. The North is angry with the South for not providing "massive aid". The announcement will undoubtedly be something like "It turns out our glorious leader is not a god after all. He's been dead for a while, and is in a freezer in the palace basement".

But, as the driver, he should have stopped as soon as he realized she wouldn't let go. I watched a couple having a fight in the states a while ago. The guy tried to leave (reasonable action to take before things get ugly). The woman jumped onto the hood of the car as he tried to drive away.

"Several meters" from the toilet. No wonder it was so difficult to locate, 20 feet is a long way. Like I said before, public park, middle of the day, people coming and going, right outside the mom's toilet, and yet nobody saw or heard anything. Maybe the mom strangled the child in the restroom and dragged him behind it before calling the police.

What is the penalty for this type of crime in Australia? Will they get prison time? If so, won't it be embarrassing to answer that question "What are you in for?"

Did you expect anything less from this maniac? He knows he will spend the rest of his life in jail, so why bother to cooperate? The longer the trial lasts, the less bored he will be. Plus, it gives him time in the spotlight to impress the few friends he still has.
