Could have been accidental. My mom and two sisters were overcome, and nearly died when their newly-installed furnace leaked exhaust into the house. Thank God Mom came to and dragged them out of the house.

What the hell is a 14 year old girl doing with a 23 year old guy anyway? Hope he enjoyed his time with her, and hope it was worth dying for. Glad she will be okay, it's a hard lesson for her.

In Japan, if you are doing the hitting, its your fault no matter what caused you to do it. That's why when 2 vehicles pass each other on a narrow street, one will stop to allow the other to move by. Also, there is an unwritten rule about size & guilt. For example: bike vs pedestrian = bike driver guilty, car vs bike = car driver guilty, and truck vs car = truck driver guilty.

For the sake of those children, this is a good thing. They did not choose to be born into that situation. But, shame on those who create a life (or end one for that matter) for their convenience.
