Glad Obama admitted that Americans did infact over react on 9/11. I hope the ones who did over react are done with their post trama if not they should get some professional help. As Obama said, Israel does need to acknowledge Palestinian suffering and the Palestinian right to exist. Though Obama came with these strong words it remains to be seen if he will take any actions. Obama talking about humanity, freedom and speaking against oppression while supporting Israel and Mubarak was ironic. Hope he sees the irony here too.

I would hope that Obama focus less on untangling the spiderweb of problems in the mideast, and rather boldly present his experience and himself as an example for change, a change of ideals, a change of a politicial tradition and the will of people to change to the better and fight corruption and rule out bad leadership, and the possibility of making that change anywhere, if the will exists. After all that has always been his motto: 'Yes, we can.' Though this man's resolve earns much admiration, he has no magic wand that will solve the mess in the mideast overnight, nor should he be subject to the pressure of such expectations, and history has shown us that American (good-willed?) intervention to solve problems in other reaches, almost always ends catastrophically (Chile, Afghan Mujahideen, Iraq...)

The problem with US and Obama is that he speaks strong words against some dictators yet support other dictators. He supports some democracies yet is against other democracies. This hypocritical stance is what makes Obama a useless duck.

Peace can achieved when Obama takes a stance against any form of oppression and discrimination and supports humanity and democracies. US has a long tradition of over throwing democracies and supporting fascist dictators in Latin America and other parts of the world. The time is long over due for US to snap out of this never ending circle.

At least Obama talks with the bribed dictator where as Bush only gave money to the bribed dictator. Don’t know which is worse. To talk to the bribed selfish dictator or just give money to the selfish bribed dictator. Every word Obama says about freedom and humanity etc is useless as long as Obama keeps supporting one of the most brutal dictators in the Middle east with weapons, aid and moral support. A dictator who oppresses his own people and keep on giving aid to Israel in order for Israel to maintain it’s illegal occupation of Palestinian land according to UN resolution 242 which USA voted in favour of. USA is useless and hypocritical .

Actually yabits when coming with criticism of an opinion you should come with reasons. The conflict is not going any where. And a big reason to why there will be no peace is not because of Hamas, not because of Hezbollah, not because of this or that but because of USA. USA does not want to accept democracy, they support dictators, have one set of rules towards some and another set of rules to an another. Their hypocritical non democratic stance is a reason to why there is a conflict in the Middle East and this is costing the average hard working American a lot of money. Not to mention lives. The Israel/Palestine conflict was mentioned as a reason to 9/11.

Either US should support democracies or not and not pretend to be supporting democracies when they don't. If you support dictators who are against democracies then it becomes hypocritical of Obama to say that he supports democracies. It is double talk. Meaning less empty words. It would make US look more credible if they actually did what they said.

Because US is run by Christian fundamentalists and because AIPAC is one of the strongest lobby groups in US, any criticism towards Israel will mean political suicide. Sharon used to say, We Jews own US and the Americans know it. Looking at Obama in Egypt sucking up to a dictator and a puppet makes me wonder, perhaps Sharon is right after all.

The thing with Americans though is that they are more like poodles to the Saudi Royals, more like servants. Right after 9/11 the only people allowed to fly in or out of US were the bin Laden family. Obviously Bush knew who his master was, wondering why some Americans still haven't figured this one out. Americans are trying very hard to impress both Israel and Egypt with their bribe for what reason? To get WTC blown up to pieces? Americans save yourself from further humiliation. Israel is not your friend and neither is Egypt. They are happy with some freebies. A friend would not praise 9/11 like Israel did.

This is just empty words from Obama. Other empty words from Obama are words like, Yes we can, Change we can believe in etc etc. So far Obama has more or less been parroting the same words as every American leader has including Bush . Obama needs to put an end to the term. A war on terror. Stop supporting the opium trade in Afghanistan. Taliban was able to do something which US could not and that was to decrease the amount of heroin being sold, once US goes into Afghanistan the drug trade flourishes. Admit a simple fact that bin Laden was not responsible for 9/11 and pressure Israel to respect international law and stop supporting violations to internationa law and demand an apology from Israel for praising 9/11 as Nethanyahu did or atleast freeze the aid. If Obama could come to terms with this reality everyone knows that he will be found dead in an "accidental" car crash or what not so the theatre continues with more empty words and no action and manipulating the public in believing that there will be a change.

The thing with Egypt though, is that the country is run by a dictator who hardly has any support among it's own people and this is the guy who US lebels as moderate. And while supporting a fascist dictator in Egypt and bribing him in order to maintain diplomatic ties with Israel, US must understand that they are being laughed at when they go on and lie about wanting to spread freedom and democracy in the Middle East as anyone knows. USA's main Arab allies in the Middle east are ruthless dictators such as Saudi and Egypt.

So you have US sucking up to it's Arab masters in Saudi where all the hijackers happened to come from. Then you have a fascist dictator in Egypt who American tax payers bribe a lot of money to in order for the corrupt dictator to maintain diplomatic ties with Israel and you have the leaders of Israel praising 9/11. What does that make Americans, people with some common sense wonder.

US should have bombed Saudi instead, but instead of invading a country which directly had something to do with 9/11, the American government don't dare to raise a finger to their Arab masters. Instead they suck up to their Arab masters like a prostitute does to her client. And someone wants to know if they are jealous of US? Apart from the economy going down the sewer. Nah, can't say that I am jelous of getting bombed and not doing anything about it. Sore losers and whiners American people are.
