Hey! Hang on! This doesn't make sense. It says he was arrested on Monday, but it also says he has been in custody for a previous offense since last October. - C'mon JT! Get your act together!
This fool probably didn't even have the sense to use any sort of code for his transactions.

Really? I fail to see what is so great about it when you consider the per capita statistics.
USA - Population 300million - medals 110
Australia - Population 20million - medals 46
Therefor, Australia won more than five times the amount of medals as the US. They should be ashamed, not proud!

Do you think his wife will want the door back for her kitchen cupboard? All jokes asides - SIDS is a devastating syndrome and I'm glad to see the money raised will towards it. It would also be nice to see one of these rich Japanese companies come up with a nice Carver downhill skateboard for him. He'll be lucky if he doesn't break his neck on that thing.

Why does this happen so often in Japan? There are two or three cases of old people killing their spouses every month.

I'm sorry, but why is this news? He's been living in Nu Zilund for 15 years (half his life). I'd love to become a Japanese cop. I drove past a radar trap yesterday. There were a dozen cops there. Three on cubby bikes and the others were all sitting in the shade doing nothing! However, the cops in Nu Zilund have it pretty tough.

Highlight - reading all the over-patriotic posts on JT. Very amusing!
Lowlight - Having to watch 200 replays of the Japanese fella that one gold in breast stroke.

OK! So, if you agree to this concept how would it be implemented? What about children and babies? What about the dehydration during a flight? You are lighter when you land. Why not take it one step further and have a thin people's plane with cheap tickets and a fat people's plane with widened doors and isles and expensive tickets? What would be the deciding weight? 80k? 120k? I have never heard anything so ridiculous in my life!

I've been there and it is very peaceful and relaxing, but the drive to Kamogawa is far from peaceful or relaxing. There is a new highway to Kammogawa, but take your money with you cos it's a 1maan round trip from Tokyo. The aquarium at Kasai-rinkai-koen (near Dizzyland) is nearly as good, but much less stressful to get to.

Another confession? Makes the J-cops look good, doesn't it?
At least it's another loony less on the streets. It will be interesting to see if he pleads, "I'm nuts!" and goes off to a nursing home or if he will face the noose.

Thank you for pointing that out Ambrosia. You don't have kids, do you? Common sense would tell you to get help for post partum depression, would it not? Or am I showing male logic?

BTW, a baby kangaroo is called a Joey and, it's a common gray kangaroo about one year old that should be in the Australian bush and not being annoyed by screams of "kowaiiiiiiii!" I've seen them for sale in pet shops in Tokyo. Just what a Japanese person would do with a pet kangaroo I don't know, but I doubt if it would like being locked up in a 2LDK apartment.

Pension or life insurance! Either way, the first suspect would be his wife, then his kids, then his mates. It's also a little odd that he was found in a hospital carpark. Why was he there?

Kids having kids is a recipe for disaster and it is not only Japan that has this kind of problem. However, Japan does seriously lack support and education centers for these kids. I was 18 when I had my first kid, but the thought of taking its life or my own did not even cross my mind. Common sense told me to get educated about kids. Clearly there is a general lack of emotional stability in Japanese society and all too often we see this scenario unfolding. I could name at least ten cases of baby abuse in the last year and all were carried out by people under 25 and most resulted in the death of the infant or both. What is wrong with these people and/or the society we are living in?

Hacking software is a completely different kettle of fish to creating spyware and malware. Hacking an iPhone so it will run on another provider is inevitable. However, creating an effective virus for OSX? That won't happen ever. Partly because of the way OSX is designed it is very easy to find any malware within the OS and also because most viruses are made on Macs or Linux based systems. I've always thought it was the antivirus software makers creating the viruses in the first place to create a market for their products.
