the best animation has style and is not photo realistic. It's close but the style becomes a part of it. Otherwise it's not an escape medium and you might as well use regular real actors.

Yes it was a good read. Book was written in 2005 and includes more than just sumo match fixing.

Yeah, why let science ruin a good bias? Naps are awesome. Research shows you are also helping your memory.

just default already. The USA relying on the Chinese dictatorship for its existence has to end along with the 300 times difference in wage disparity, millionaires and billionaires milking off the population. The facade of freedom must come back to reality at some point. Not until after its collapse though

where's the war? Normally Americans go to war on things. War on drugs, war on whatever. They need a war on debt. Declare a state of emergency, ration the nation's energy and food and get the entire economic output of the country to pay off that $14 trillion in debt. Even then it would take years. Forgo your bonuses and salaries for a couple of years. Y'know, for the country. Call it Victory Wages.

Then maybe there is a chance.

Republicans counter that low taxes and spending cuts would unleash capital into the economy and put it on firm footing — and avoid a European-style debt crisis that could force far harsher steps.

Except this has never happened, anywhere, ever. Why do you think all your companies left? To keep profits for themselves as Job #1 to rake in even more cashola. Pretty sad. Reaganonics is a FAIL. The strongest nations in Europe who are not in a debt crisis (you know there are a lot of nations right?) have a strong social safety net, high taxes, and companies that exist. This is not rocket science.

High taxes are fine if the return from an accountable government means clean food, healthy lifestyle and free-as-in-beer healthcare paid for by taxation.

@shinjuku surgical masks are worn for much more reasonable means (prevent the spread of sickness or harmful bacteria

No that's just biological ignorance. Yet another facade in need of a bubble burst since so few wash their hands and think the all magical surgical mask heals all.

Masks are single use, limited time. Not daily use, all the time.

oddly I support this. If you don't want to live in a secular country then don't live there. I applaud the French for this declaration that to live there is to be a part of society, not just pick and choose convenience. It ensures a future of at least trying for equality, rather than accepting divisions. Who knows if they will be successful, but it reflects their country, and if that's how they want to run it then that's their decision to do so.

May be it will give pause for those moving there to reconsider it, if this doesn't jive with their way of life. After all, you want some connection, not zero connection.

too smart by half. This will end up cluttering and killing google.oom as a search engine. It will not be a boon for advertisers because they will not have a return on their investment when all those fake clicks don't materialize in real dollars. Then the advertisers will flee Google and that's when alternatives pop up.

Harper caught in his own lies last two days. He keeps bringing up coalitions but gets back in his face his own proposal for one in 2004 when he was opposition leader. D'oh. UK has one now, and we have the same/similar system of gov't. So what is he smoking?

Headlines on the subway keep picturing Harper with the words: fear, caught, and such

Our election is only 36 days, we hit the polls on May 2nd. Maybe one day he'll explain how much the new jails and jets will cost. Certainly not when he was in gov't, and now not in an election. Then when??

The Parliamentary Secretary Kevin Page responsible to keep tabs on real costs in government to avoid waste (ironically appointed by Harper in his first year of office) keeps showing up Harper and his government as the most wasteful with every report he makes! It forces Harper and his ministers to deny Mr Page's conclusions, every single time. Needless to say he has not increased Page's budget!

To be constantly woefully lying about costs, is why there is an election. This isn't about conservatives necessarily though. There was a progressive conservative party not too long ago but it got split then merged with the more religious types of the reform party in Western Canada. So there are a lot of conservative minded people thinking WTH is going on...

If our elected officials whose duty is to manage a budget, can't even do that, because they don't want to tell anyone, then they should be fired.

It's time for a change. Enough really is enough.

Harper literally couldn't spend enough. He is now on record for contempt of Parliament, a Canadian historical first. For such high and mighty conservative voters they sure are a massively hypocritical lot. All is quiet. Proposals for more jails and more jets while the Baby Boomers head into their healthcare years of dementia and hip replacements.

Also note he canned the nuclear safety chair early on and Chalk River which is responsible for 50% of the world's isotopes for medicine isn't being replaced. So the death knell to Canadian healthcare will affect more than just Canadians.

The logical and predictable disasters are allowed to continue. Baby Boomers will suffer the most ironically as they voted the most for Harper, so perhaps there's some poetic justice in that, unfortunately the authors of their own misfortune as they take us all down with them.

Harper says coalitions are illegal.. Then coalitions are bad etc. It's the only way to stop him but people believe him more than the rules of our Parlimentary system. UK has one, and many provinces in the past have used them. It's getting pretty sad when fellow Canadians ane being played off their ignorance.. I fear for what's left of my democracy if the conservatives win again
