oh and you can hear the clap of that one guy on the corner of the stream feed video. The clap has an open echo, like a large open space. Funny.

I like the full day events. (I'm watching the live streaming right now in fact) Normally there would be more in the front. There's exactly one couple having lunch, a guy on the corner, and the refs. Looks bad. Anyway, you get a sense of what it takes and at what level the final wrestlers have attained. It's also easier to spot when someone didn't try hard enough.

It's kinda like watching juniors in hockey, you can see the fire in the belly for some players and that makes for better matches if the skill is there. Not always true as you can guess.

Another dynamic is the training of the gyoji as they sing who's next. They also change as the levels increase.

Anyway, there's a lot going on and I like the pace which is different that just a 5 min sports highlight. I realize it's not for everyone but I certainly appreciate an all day event.

on a larger scale it just means that Japan would rather have robots than immigrants.

This is insane, who will eat the contaminated foods? Also most countries invite people into the country to take up tasks that are in short supply. It's called immigration. Japan will cease to exist as both positions taken by the government are untenable. China will move in. It just has to wait.

given the price it would have been better to put it in a museum so that future generations might be able to guess at the incredible resources that were squandered.

Just march and sit in until they cop up. That Japanese take the behaviour lying down is astounding. Please stand up for yourselves

When the party's over and Japan has vacuumed the oceans clean of tuna, they'll just move onto another fish. Time for a tuna moratorium until stocks return. That way prices will stay high offsetting the resolve needed to save the tuna. But Japan keeps whaling too, so the logic of reduction doesn't work.

When the tuna are gone and since Japan eats the most tuna Japan will suffer the most, not anyone else. It's like watching a train wreck in slow motion. C'mon Japan, you're better than this. Tuna is a prized dish. Prize it more, and protect it for future generations. Your own.

I'm trying to think of how this food doesn't become illegal given the number of deaths associated with it? How does the manufacturer not ever get sued? Nor homemade persons put in jail? Even fugu cooks have to be licensed and even they make mistakes sometimes. Strange to die due to such an obvious lack of standards in public health.

Sad, this happens every year without fail. Whatever happened to the Hemlich maneuver? That compresses the diaphragm to send air out involuntarily thus removing any blockage.

It's kinda like golfing in the rain and hoping to not get hit by lightening. You'd think people similarly would take themselves away from the risk

There should be a size restriction at the very least.

so build the weapon first, THEN look to change the constitution??? How about just following the constitution and NOT building weapons. BTW how can Japan make landmines or guns and that doesn't violate the constitution?

Not much of a constitution if following it is meaningless

Must be those same morals that lead to 1 million North Koreans to starve to death. How about this year?

Ron Paul is very unsympathetic to anyone with health problems who cannot pay up. He's got a lot of baggage. He's a doctor and believes in creationism. How do you round that square?

Hirata said he first went to a police station in Osaki but found no one on duty

So first time no one there, second time turned away, third time finally arrested! Yes, Japan is relying on the integrity of 17 year criminal veterans to uphold the justice system.

    it is to laugh

nationalize them, sell off their country clubs and golf courses, do things that are for the people and not the buddy buddy system.

Not going to happen. This is just PR damage control.

Not very original if you have to play off the kanji of the year. In poor taste as that kanji was more about dealing with loss than being co-opted by a political party.

Get the TEPCO executives to help out. It's not like they are doing anything useful. Might belay a few community service charges later on
