I don't understand why the Japanese, who are a wonderful and honorable people, would sacrifice that honor with this big lie. Whether you agree with the whaling or not, its clearly commercial whaling, not research. So why the big lie? These whaling activities cost Japanese taxpayers millions of dollars each year. The whaling isn't profitable - it doesn't make money for anyone other than a few select Japanese businesses and the tax payers are left holding a multi million dollar annual bill. The whole affair makes no sense except for the select few that are profiting from it. Does the Japanese public know about this?
