Good move on the part of the university. Brain drains are very expensive, and it means they have to keep reinventing the wheel. I don't see how universities can afford not to have child care services for employees.

Looks like the Taliban are on a PR campaign to hide behind civilians, shoot at us, knowing that we will shoot back, and then screaming bloody murder when a civilian is killed. Human shields was the old term, but this is not for shields, this is only for the media...terrible crime...

Taiwan would be great, the people are open minded, the cost of living is low, the have great amenities, and the current government of China never has, and does not now control Taiwan. It would be great if all the bases in Japan packed up next month and moved to Taiwan...Then you can watch Okinawa cry the blues for the loss of billions of dollars in military revenues, loss of payments by J-Gov for hosting the bases, and the sudden wash of empty housing from those who used to be here to support the military...GREAT PLAN!!!

Don't know why the mods deleted my comment...some of these events are not real sports in that the contestants have very little control over the outcome. It would be like seeing who could hold our breath the longest and then making it an olympic event. Just do away with the sledding events. They depend more on equipment than anything else.

Toyota was one of the best things to happen to the US as far as Japan is concerned. When the US started it's "Buy American" campaign, Toyota built factories in the US and became "American Made". Even the good ones slip once in a while...the good news is now they will try harder to make up for a damaged reputation...

No one ever accused the Japanese fishermen or the fisheries department of being too smart. Spray into the wind is a no-brainer...it comes back...On another note, these environmentalists protect the whales, are against the slaughter of beef, then complain about the world food shortages, what the heck do they want us to eat...sand???
