sillygirl, what a strange thing to say. You overlook the fact that he helped beat up a 14 year old girl and force her to strip and swim in a pond (at night I think, which is even more dangerous) and instead harp on his Romeo and Juliet style relationship?
You also overlook the strong possibility that he was sleeping with both, but made it the fault of one of the girls and punished her for it.
I think the guy is nutty as a fruitcake, but the age of his girlfriend is at the lower end of the proof. I had a friend in a similar relationship, maybe one year of difference to this case. Last I heard, they were married. No violence. No humiliations. Just love.

You could also ask an armed robber to please leave the bank. Maybe he will and maybe we wont. Seriously, you folks give me a headache with your insistent imaginings that there is some sort of balance between men and women over condoms. The things go on, but they also come off. The only way a woman is to know is if she insisted the lights are on and held a mirror the whole time, or constantly stuck her hand down to have a feel. Jeez. Do you people even have sex?
Its like you never heard of BC pills and penicillin. Its also like you think most men are stupid and or irresponsible like Assange.
Yes. And its still the man who wears it. Its out of the woman's hands then. Come on. Wake up please.
Carry condoms or not, insist on them or not, pretty much no woman is asking to have a man's baby on the first night or morning or risk an STD. About the only time a man should not use a condom in a new relationship is when SHE asks to NOT use one or it has otherwise been discussed. Simple default is that she does want the condom. Why in blazes would any man think he has a right to choose by himself??
Its a distinct possibility. They may simply be out for vengeance since he went from to the other in a very short span of time, which is just another typical example of male idiocy and selfishness. In a new relationship, smart men test the waters for a bit to know what kind of woman they are dealing with. I don't agree with the legal charges, but Assange totally deserves to have these two women harassing him if half the allegations are true.

Why not? Its not like even nuclear engineers here even properly prepare for eventualities, is it?
Even if they did remember the need for generators, they will probably place them on a fault line, in a place that is prone to flooding, in an area where it will attract lightning, in a place so remote it would take her crew an hour to get there on a fine day, and not even have a means to alert the crew for the system being down, and no standing orders for them either.
And if they forgot generators, perhaps they prepared batteries that will keep it running for 2 hours, then silence, assuming of course the crew even gets there before the power comes back on.

If you cannot logically explain why you think there is an error in my reasoning, perhaps you should just accept it? I actually have the experience to understand the dynamics and varieties of sexual situations. That understanding has led to me to my conclusion, and not some feel good sexual politicking. Just reality.
In a big way, yes it is. Do you think a man could press rape charges in Sweden for a woman's failure to wear a condom, or put it on him? I don't agree completely with Sweden's laws on the issue, but they are not completely cracked. It was Assange who messed up on the condom issue, if the accusation is true. Assange is an ass, like I said. I just don't find the accusation against him criminal to the point of making anyone a rapist.

Not all, but some. And why? Because laws have affected their behavior even if they don't comply 100 percent. Thugs do pay attention to laws.
Not really much difference to the point that guns need to be controlled. The wrong people get them far too much in America.
This is something of a strawman argument. Nobody said it would solve the violence problem. The goal is to make things better, and laws do and have. I might agree that we don't necessarily need "more" laws though. I think what we need are better ones. Canada is a good place to look for direction, if Americans weren't too foolish proud to look north.

If that were true, thugs would casually walk down the street donning bullet belts with fully automatic weapons in hand shooting the bulbs out of street lamps for kicks.
Thugs do pay attention to laws. They just don't adhere 100 percent.

Now matter how abrupt?? Aren't you the same Fadamor that was talking about safe following distance? There is a reason for safe following distance and the reason is because HOW ABRUPT does count! It is entirely possible for someone to pull in front of you without giving you the time to think, let alone react. And no one is expected to maintain a safe following distance when passing!
You dabble in absolutes far too much Fadamor. The circumstance described might require microseconds of perfect timing to occur, but it does happen. The microsecond part explains why its rare, but does not mean it doesn't happen. It does. And another thing, too many drivers anywhere in the world either don't signal a lane change or do it at the same instant they make the change, which is useless.

There is a world of difference in using it as evidence in your own accident and running around playing CHIPs and expecting the police to thank you for it.
The most surprising thing about this article is that they did not arrest the truck driver immediately but are just asking questions of him. I would like to think they are using some sense, but I expect they are just being inconsistent.

Our national interest? Do America's borders extent to China? Don't think so.
The stability of the region will do just fine without American troops in Japan. American troops did not prevent the Korean War, the Vietnam War, the Invasion of Tibet, the Sino-Vietnamese War, etc. But I don't expect people with the cowboy mentality to do anything but grossly over-estimate their own importance.

Not 100 percent Herve. If even the rules prevent only 50 percent from acquiring guns, that is a lot of lives saved. And that is only talking about thugs, and not people who are just plain nuts. And among that 50 percent, many will be arrested on other charges and have their guns taken away before they kill anybody. And without the regulations, their guns would not be taken away and would be waiting for them as soon as they got out of the big house. No thanks.
And you know what? If not for the NRA blocking any move on gun regs, we would probably have a licensing system in place by now that further help ensure that decent, responsible and trained people had guns while the thugs you speak of would have a much harder time not only buying guns, but also buying bullets.

A porn actor is not necessarily a porn "star".
And the article indicates at the end that he is washed up as porn star, but apparently still a male prostitute, so why does the headline not identify him as a prostitute instead of a porn actor? Ah, a grab for sensationalism. What a freakin surprise!
Possible ties to Bernardo and Homolka? This case just got real big real fast.

Nothing obvious about it. For all we know, this may well be the case where the police SHOULD NOT believe the man who claims to have found them. He might in fact be the killer.

What doesn't? Knowing the dynamics of sex between men and women, I scarcely think much blame can be placed on her over the condom. She may well have asked about it, and he may well have lied. My understanding is that he woke her up with sex, but who really knows? All I can tell you is that a condom is a man's responsibility. That raincoat is for him to wear, not the woman.

The man is an ass for not using a condom with a woman he just started a sexual relationship with and not making sure it was okay with her. But enough is enough and this is all way, way too much.
I guess we should be glad he was not caught driving 20 clicks over the speed limit or they would have hung him from the nearest street lamp.

I think you all underestimate what even skinny Bieber can do when harrassed. Journalists have also underestimated Bjork and Sid Vicious, both accused of being shy, and they paid the price.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1lhgiuTFxxM (make no mistake. The reporter had been harassing her).
