badsey: You know what, I really wish there was something lke the tea party before Obama got elected. I really do. That would make things go over a lot smoother. However since that is not how it happened and so like my brother so be it. We have got to cut this gov down in size and we can not allow them to pass bills the way they have on this health care. Its was just the wrong way to do it. and that is not a swipe at having a more affordable health care.

the us is not going to survive with 2 parties in power constantly trying to please their bases. as a matter of fact they should have a base once they are elected. Bush did and now O's doing it. No, we need a slew of parties and let decisions be made at the local. If you don't like the local's position on things, move out.

It's just down right racism and hate." It could be the start of it. However, it doesn't mean there wrong. Its like when I get pulled over at home and I tell white cop "what, you think I'm an illegal" and he says yup, you're speeding. So, my point is I was in the wrong and the cop, possible jealous of my Latin good looks, was in fact right. As for "not backwards rural America." Well, there are whole lot of white faces from that "we-want-to-be-part-of-America place north of us that are from the most rural country in the western hemisphere on this board and in addition, my brother still lives in Chicago. Now, I'm with my brother on this - get rid of Nancy and Harry and keep Obama. Get rid of Obama's unionists and we can all get along. Besides, if Bush passed something good, you don't think the lefties here would not go about it would be doing the same?
All in all, if these tea parties can put repubs and dems in their place, they're ok with me. I'm not gonna be afraid rolling up on a bunch of anglos who are mostly from Blue collar jobs where is many lefties here with their rich white parents probably wouldn't tell their parents they have a friend like me.

I think the GOP is getting a bit complacent in thinking the tea party is down with them. My brother's sure has a hate on for them and he's now a proud member of Illinois Hispanic Tea Party.
So you GOP haters, maybe you guys and Obama should take a different approach to them.

aday. I will debate you only on #5, but first let me say, I've always been kind of antiNASA. I personally feel we should explore our oceans and our jungles first. There are still a lot of things we don't know and any space exploration should be given over to the private sector.
now, on to #5. Why do you always leave out the dems that were involved? Why? Don't forget, I remember this board at the time, if Bush didn't give them, you and others here would have cried and since they were given out, you cry.
I would have let them fail and Dodd would have gone home with nothing.
Look, I think we are paying way too much, and I thought that before. I just kept my mouth shut then. If I did voice my opinion on that, I would get "hey, look what this country or that country pays, so quit crying". What do we really get for the amount we pay into it. I want a smaller gov that costs less. If adding in a third party does that, or even a fourth or fifth, then fine with me. Funny, but I though libs wanted a military cut down in size. What happened?

taka, if you are paid by tax dollars you should be excluded from such conversations. I want the gov cut, big time. I want reps to take a pay cut not a hike and that includes gov employees, especially those lifers. Just like I am all for term limits for politicians, there should be some sort of time frame you are allowed to keep a gov job. Or at least spend a few years facing reality. I really hope you are not one of those guys I see at the Sanno every now and then.
After all it was the GOP that set this economic disaster in motion." So, we should not protest taxes until they get in office again? And if they don't just suck it up? Perhaps a tea party should have started back in the day if you are correct, but there is a lot of guys up here who make a lot of cash for a lot of people whose opinions I'll take over yours ( no offense intended) who would debate you.
