This Muslim Brotherhood thing is such a false issue. From the NY Times:" man, c'mon, the NYT? I'd prefer to get my news from Japan today before I bother spending the money for NYT...

I'm sorry, but I thought there already WAS chaos? Have I been watching different news?" I think this is why one should watch business news channels.

P.S., I think I should have mentioned Tienanmen Square too... so let this be a lesson to both those repub and dem die hards including those who slant too much towards capitalism as well as those who slant too much towards socialism and those too much towards any one religion. No of us are ready for a complete take over of any of them

You know, if you really want to get down to it, all this proves it no one should let any one person or group have complete power for too long of a duration. These protests prove that just as the Iranian protests proved it just as what's going on all over the mid-east and just as those of us who are part of the "exiled communities" prove that.

Im trying to say that the PEOPLE of EGYPT will most likely NOT elect such a group that would crush their liberal pleasures" There is hardly anyone else to choose from... they should accept Mubarak's proposal and have free and fair elections but even then the MB is so powerful, they'd still end of winning... The people of Egypt are very educated and are just looking for reforms to the corrupt regime. Not to put themselves back into the stone age" The Iranians were too once upon a time...

but there is a lot of, let's say Israeli / US "spin" going on to try and justify keeping their guy in power" No, that's your spin.... what is happening though is that both Israel and the US are worried if someone such as the Muslim brotherhood does take a foot hold in Egypt and if that does happen, smartacus post becomes correct. I know Egyptians and your right, they are liberal (but not like what US calls liberals) and up to date, but that is mostly due to what their leaders, including Mubarak have allowed them to be.. unlike the Muslim brotherhood won't... And to be specific, many I know are worried as they are not muslim or could careless about being Muslim, like my former bass player; coptics in NYC are already got blogs going on how worried they are should the MB take control. Lastly, why should one welcome an enemy?

People do not come out to protest in such large numbers and intensity without there obviously being something which has been gnawing away at them for some time" Welcome to the age of the internet. Wonder how you would feel if a coalition of foreign powers were to dictate your country's policy through a collaborator for a number of years?" But yet welcomed by many. Or on a more individual level, how would you feel if you and a load of your mates were born into a life of poverty and had very few options to change your station?" but yet you support two of the most ardent dictators who cause this.

It is for this reason, that durgs SHOULD NOT BECOME LEGAL. Do you honestly think that businesses that would conduct such brazen actions on public streets, would actually adhere to the laws concerning taxation if their product were to become legal?"

    Great Point.

It often seems like those who blame drug users for the evil actions of the drug cartels are the same people who simultaneously blame cigarette companies instead of smokers and gun dealers instead of criminals." No, I'm not. I am blaming middle to high class white America who are willing to pay for such drugs who are supposed to be the so called educated bunch. They are not the victims, they are in fact center of the problem.

To learn what is going on in the world, one should not limit themselves to American news sources (or even BBC). I find Al Jazeera quite good, as well as RT News." Better, use face book and friend a few people from there.. Oh, and if you really want to know what's on Al Jazeera, rely on an Arab speaking friend and not the translators Al Jazeera hires...

to the two posters above, for some reason "a potentially offensive content", I can't post the links that will tell you how to watch it from both Japan and the US. They do however have coverage. I myself have no idea what the partner company's office is using, but its running non-stop

Why is Al Jazeera English news only available in three cities in the U.S" What are you talking about? Anyone can watch it right on the web and via cable.... I'm watching it right now. Basically all of the online tv links include it.

Still "doubt the unrest has anything to do with the US", SolidariTea?" I do, they clearly showed posters of Mubarak with a red star of David over his face... Since you believe its so much about the US, how about cutting off that aid if they happen to elect someone not friendly to us?

Many in the Muslim world hates America" So, we should all stop and completely change our ways and be guilty for what we have accomplished? You ask most Americans, and they'll tell you straight that they would prefer not giving money to these dictators. But let's be clear, the so called left here is going on how the US supports dictators, yet they hail one of the most repressive dictators as their epitome of what society should be. The questions Americans need to ask are 1. can we survive on our own, as the poster writes, WE ARE HATED, 2. I sure as heck ain't gonna kiss any butt, so how do we prepare ourselves for a big fight, 3. should we keep people who clearly hate us out of our country 4. Should we stay out of their way regardless of the circumstances?

however Stalin exterminated as many or more none Jews during the same period. However the Germans exterminated 6 million in around 10 years, they effectively killed two thirds of the European Jewish population" And I'm still amazed that so many Anglos jump on the Nazi bandwagon yet the Nazi god and his Russian counterpart killed almost half of your kind.

Now having said that, I've gotten tonnes of mail recently with sites showing photos and articles of the Muslim brotherhood collaborating with the Nazis.....

I am in all agreement with the above two posters that the other victims of the Holocaust should be noted (I actually only learned about the Jews with gypsies being barely mentioned).

anybody born after 1981 (when mubarak took office) hadn't the opportunity to choose their president." and that's something like 80% of the populace now.

Mohamed ElBaradei belongs to the Muslim Brotherhood. Sharia law is coming to Egypt." All we can do now is shrug our shoulders and lose Egypt as an ally. Not much anyone one can do and not for nothing, Mubarak is like that ugly chick your girl brings around and is always a third wheel....

In short those companies make a big buck of healthy people and use that to cover others." That is correct, basically insurance is one big pool of money. Again, no one is even peeping about the insurance companies, they are no longer the bad guy....

I really don't see why Americans who oppose universal healthcare can't just be straight up and honest with themselves and just admit, 'I don't have a heart and don't give a damn about my fellow Americans." How many heart attack, gun shot, stab wound, AIDS victims have you tended to? How many times in the cold of night carrying an old drunk of a veteran to the Chicago VA have you? How many times have you bothered to look at the other options that are and always have been available?

I don't mind paying my taxes, even if they increase, because I pay into a system that helps people. That's cool" then fine, that's your choice. I would prefer to have a choice and as Alphaape puts it, I sure wouldn't like to pay a fine should I fine myself in a bind and can't pay especially since I take care of myself.

This one got me..." later in life watching Sicko" Just how many relatives or recent arrivals from Cuba have you met and discussed this with? Once I have your answer, we'll extend on this conversation, but Sicko was more sick than reality...

Having affordable health care is a wonderful idea and it should all be affordable, like several states/cities have which is where it should have stayed. It has been more due to government why our health care has been so expensive. Additionally, you can't tell me its fair for a person in a state like Iowa to pay for an inflated rate of health care for a person in Cali..

How about this You all for it, READ THE BILL, 2. Talk to those of us who are in the biz, 3. talk to a person on welfare (like we were in 89 to 92 and got everything for free). 4. Ask, what is wrong with the bill (I have countless times put up here what's wrong on the business side it and what it is going to do to "free and cheap clinics" (ironic to say the least but they'll be gone)

Also, how come we don't hear about those evil insurance companies anymore? We just handed them business on a silver plater. Cheaper meds? What's up with that NOW?

You can groan all you want, but there are a lot of good reasons why the bill needs to be overturned. Go back to the drawing board and put out a REAL HEATH CARE Bill

I wish I had the education half of you guys have, if I could write well, I'd put out a good one but I would limit it to the state level at the max
