BurakuminDes - Really? Got 4 of them in my wallet at the moment. Not so rare in this part of Japan anyway. Maybe it's a regional thing.

Uni-sex bathrooms? Are we talking hermaphrodites here?
Not sure what relevance that is to the military repealing DADT and such. In the civilian life I don't think that there are "uni-sex bathrooms" and showers in public facilities, but I haven't been to the States for a while. Maybe it's like that everywhere now and it was just places like Elmendorf (sp?) that had a men's bathroom any more.

So I take it by the comments that China has been found guilty of this attack?

Was this even reported in Japan until now? Just wondering if a big deal has been made of it at all as I don't remember seeing it before.

So TEPCO is considering screwing its own workers for the company's own mistakes (direct or indirect cause). Bet they're ecstatic about that.

kaketama - Yeah, Japan has had it in convenience stores and plenty of other places for years. Nothing new in the world; just to the States (and maybe other countries that employ it).

Japan says no loss of any more data... they've lost anything of importance long ago!
Has the Japanese government speculated that it might be the Chinese or is it just the media who are throwing blame around at the moment?

Yeah, I don't get how words that have had a well understood meaning for a long time have to change because the media suddenly starts using it after an event. Same with Ground Zero: now everyone gets into a hissy fit about the Weird Al Yankovic (sp?) song.

So they're introducing something similar to Edy. Hardly changing the world. No doubt the iWallet will follow soon, with users thinking it's revolutionary and Apple reinventing the wheel once more.

Serious question here. Is "gender" on a passport easily changed for someone? I.e. it's just the same as changing a name?

BurakuminDes - Will remember that quote for a few week's time. Might come back to bite you ;)
While it's true that the majority of teams rest players in competitions to an extent, I'm not a huge fan of it. At the end of a season or something, I can see resting your players for a week has its benefits, but I'd much prefer my teams to field their strongest team possible at all times. Kind of why this year I've been even more impressed with Wigan's Superleague season than last.
So not that I'd wish injury on anyone, but I hope they are injured and not just being rested for a more competitive game.

I'm not surprised they were loud. I would be if I was cheering my team on to a century in a World Cup game, regardless of who they're playing!

ratpack - agree with you there. If you go onto a rugby field, or pretty much any sporting arena, with the mindset of "Well we're gonna lose this anyway, so let's not worry about it and think about the next game" then you are going to get slaughtered. No ifs or buts.
