Given that the USA has just recorded over 46m of its population under the poverty line, it maybe needs to look within its own borders before indulging in philanthropy to lesser developed countries (a much better term than "third world").

Your problem here is that Asa is not Japanese and the victim was in the initial case. Asa made an excellent scapegoat and was just the incident needed for him to get kicked out for good by the JSA.

Same comment as above really. Wonder how many of these centenarians are actually alive. Some sceptics might say it manipulates the figures slightly if you include people who have already died in your figures.

It was only a month or 2 ago when Japan was complaining because China was moving ships in international waters close to Japanese coastal waters. They don't seem to realise that international waters means just that. Of course if the Chinese ships entered Japan's territory they would have a legitimate complaint, but they didn't. So they don't

zabutonsenbei - Might be going out on a limb here, but I'm gonna guess the reason the usual month vacation and then big comeback wasn't implemented for her successfully because of her gender. Seems like the Japanese men can do what they like as long as they bow and/or say they were drunk and take a holiday for a few months. For women, it's much tougher.

Japan I think will refuse the talks unless it starts with Russia conceding the Kuril Islands to them. Oh, and maybe getting North Korea to resolve the abduction issue as well. They may as well throw that into the conditions and make it even tougher to come to civil negotiations.
