sillygirl - I agree with what you say. The older generation just keep on making these gaffes as they were never corrected years ago when they weren't so aged, and so don't really see the problem with it. You encounter that with people in their 60s and 70s somewhat all around the world.

BurakuminDes - Disappointment at the draw or to losing to DPRK? The Korean ladies put up some pretty stern resistance to be honest. What they lack in skill they do make up for in determination.

societymike - tough to give the bedrock argument more than a fleeting glance.. How far to we go back; maybe when the world was still a pangaea and all from the same rock. That way Japan could possibly claim everywhere is its territory

It is. Not gonna mock anyone's name though, whether it's Willard, Abd or Louise. So it could be Willard vs Hussein in 2012!

Also, did you write G Walker Bush in the same way. Just seems a little irregular as usually a first name is stated, along with middle initial. Not often you see the common first name given in just an initial form and then the middle, lesser-used name written in full. S Louise Palin, or S H Abd al-Majid al-Tikriti for example

Tatanka - No it wouldn't. At best it would be a moot point but not really a mute one. So do you think Willard M. Romney will be better than Barack Obama?

Tatanka - how come you stress the middle name of Barack H. Obama? I have noticed people didn't write G. Walker Bush. Or are you trying to use his middle name as something that would incite fear into people, because it's the same as a former dictator's surname?

So they're adopting what keitais (or at least AU, am pretty sure others too) have had for years? This isn't reinventing the wheel, people, despite what Apple may tell you.
My no-frills AU phone was going off like crazy before the last one down in Okinawa.

JapanGal - I think you'll find it's pretty strong against Sterling too. If you look at historical graphs going back either 5, 10 or 20 years you'll see the rates that it was compared to what it's gone to over the past few years.

So what you could say is, 48% are not in favour of whaling in Japan; an issue that the government seems so strong to defend. The same statistic can tell you all sorts of things you want to hear.
