This attitude of veterans not showing remorse is not only japanese, I saw a long time a report on the ukrainians milicians who assisted the nazis in slaughtering jewish families. They were describing their job like a routine task: killing the mother first so that she doesn`t see her child dying, such humanity ! Men can become killing machine very easily without showing any remorse, because war is in our nature.
Moderator: Readers, please keep the discussion focused on Nanjing, not the Nazis.

A new era will begin from tomorrow. Well at least let us hope this won
t be a clone of LDP, Id guess that they will be active on their first 4 years then they`ll start to make their seat confortable and drown in opulence like LDP did. Still it took 55 years to get rid of LDP...They should make a thank you party to Aso for being such a disaster for his comrades.

So she`s the one whose husband looks like a junkie and whose pocket were searched by a policeman which found the drugs right ?
Remember ladies and gentlemen, that this lady is an actress and a good one in drama. She will come back with whole Asia`s spotlight on her along with a movie script about her personal drama. I would bet my two hands that her agent advised her to do so. Or am I thinking a bit too much Hollywoodian here ?

"More than 50,000 U.S. troops are stationed throughout Japan, which pays billions of dollars each year to support them" now this is indeed something unique.
I read that after WWII, when France, England and the US left some occupation troops in Germany, France and England were paying the rent from their own pocket and their presence was actually beneficial to the local economy, whereas the US base renting and related costs had to be covered in full by the German government. This would be a good source of saving money for Japan if the US bases would cover their own cost and not the japanese taxpayer.

Yes it does apply to any other salesman of services such as IT consulting for example, I was just saying that, particularly for people of the category I mentioned, they may find in it a great deal of encouragement.

Well this post might not be bringing a "valuable cultural insight or pearl of wisdom" yet it deals with a category of job that most foreigners are doing in Japan mostly due to their lack of language ability or their incapacity - mostly due to the lack of proper network - to integrate a company to follow a long term career that fits with their university graduates (for those who have one), and this job is "recruiter". Therefore, Jason de Luca
s post may have a strong meaning of encouragment for a great majority of english speakers. So wheres the harm in that ?Posted in: Bad sales numbers? Don’t take it personally; your questions sucked
