My wife won a first prize in a regular lottery here in Japan. About 150,000$US. You bet we told no one. THus far we are the only two who know about it.

The dude who escaped the mine said it. Miners know that with methane fires the level of CO is usually commensurate with the thickness of smoke. Tons of smoke= high CO concentrations so his quote was perfectly rational. He never said he smelt or saw it, he saw the smoke. Hope the guys all made it to safety. This will knock the coast back a bit if it ends in tragedy.

Offering no reason for a one word opinion=dumb. Flat taxes are the best and fairest way to take peoples' money in a democracy. Corporate taxes, rebates on employment, research and development costs and a flat tax rate on all other profits. Double the tax rate for people receiving welfare after retirement. Retired people getting a pension should be doing volunteer work and leaving paid employment to younger now unemployed folks.

Really like this. Geographically the Senkakus are not related to Japan so best claim must surely go to the Taiwanese. But possession is 99% of ownership, so Japan keeps them.
