I would eat at that kind of place if the prices were reasonable. I often go on long tiring journeys to buy supplies and make deals etc. Usually i end up eating outside of normal times so i can relax a bit and catch up with anything online without being disturbed.

Antonios M ; I agree far too US focused. A complaint i have made to JT many times. How about John Prescott, David Blunkett or the many French bigwigs?
Many competative people will live their whole lives putting their interests first and when they find fame they think they are above the nations laws and moral laws. Many get to the top through being ruthless and having a lack of compassion for others.

MYRB2001; Not anti capitalism, but not a fan. Certainly anti celebrity culture which helps create people like Beiber.
Still alot of good bands about making original music that don't sell their souls for Dollars.

He's a nasty spoilt little homophobe. Awards are mostly meaningless these days and are usually just for the most popular , ie biggest money makers for the industry.

Most probably undiagnosed mental health problems fora while.Lots of us think we have true love when young and only realise what it really means when we realise the real meaning of the word.
You will have a high amount of suicides if mental health issues are a taboo subject.

papiqiulio; Not liking someone does not have to equate to hating. Too many people say that these days to those who disagree with them. mr Bieber recently made homophobic comments that upset a lot of people. He also said he is the kurt Cobain of today. 2 good reasons to dislike.

What should i be doing and why should i be doing it? Maybe the more i pay to Kepco is better to the Japanese economy, so maybe i should use more electricity.

This is something that needs to be remembered and these things are important to some.
There are many suffering mental health issues due to this disaster. We have to understand that some of these people are now severely damaged maybe for life and we have to take this into consideration in our posts. It is very sad as this whole disaster has been , let us hope that those who are still suffering get better soon.

This is a woman who always had a strict fitness regime. A few years ago she beat cancer. She put on weight due to treatment and poor health. She said that she will not try to be forever youthfull and she is happy how she looks now.
It is a bit poor taste to make these remarks to a cancer survivor who has doen a lot to help other cancer sufferers and still maintain a successfull singing career.
I am sure there would be outrage if similar remrks were made to a Japanese entertainer who was a cancer victim.

japan has had a massive disaster, people are still dying, thousands have lost their homes and livelyhoods. Yet we have some hear banging on and on about this, as if it really matters in the big scheme of things. I have done things to help, but that is my business, i stayed in Japan (although according to many on JT i hate Japan).
If people want to feel superior, feel free, you have my pity. I don't think i am better or worse than any other foreigner re this. In fact, what others do unless it severely effects me or my family, is none of my business.

I cannot belive this has happend i am in shock hearing this news, this is more devastating than the actual disaster. Why should i suffer because of these evil doers?

Klein2; I never said you were a liar , i was suggesting exaggerating. If what you say is a fact, you must live in a wealthy area as the foreigners in my area would find it very hard to suddenly have funds to leave Japan.
you may also find that there a some in Jpaan who are not considered part of their local community and are treated badly by locals. I am accepted, whether that is because of my British nationality or what, but all situations are different. You say we all have a responsibility to community, i feel i do as they treat me fine most of the time. There are people in this type of rural Japan who are the local "leader" and if they don't like an outsider coming in foreign or japanese, they can make their life hell.
Bring part of the community os great for foreigners, but i cannot blame some for leaving or not caring when there is a problem as they must feel unwelcome.
