oh yes, when i go to work on monday mornings, the first question in the staff room is always, "have you seen the latest rape movie?" or "what's your high score on that rape game?"
enlighten me BurakuminDes, since you seem to be the expert on this kind of stuff, where did death metal originate? Osaka?

Suzu, check your bill. There is no running from the Amex annual fee. If there is, it's a first-year offer, and the fees start from the second year. They just tag it on there. I've been a member of Costco, for many years, and there has always been the fee. Sometimes they gove out coupons, or what have you, but you have to be vigilant and ask about the fees. They really do take you for a ride.

Noborito, get real. Nobody is going to buy Chinese cars. Not outside of China, that is. Without googling it, can you name two models of Chinese car? Would you buy one?
And nobody is ever going to set up their head office in China. Not until they get a government there that can follow it's own rules, and can elucidate them clearly to outsiders. Not even the Chinese know how to get a fair deal in their own country. You put all your intellectual property at high risk just stepping off the plane in Beijing!

Ahhh, finally! There are very few opportunities in life to brag about living in Chiba. Proximity to the airport. Oh, and lower taxes, but that's not related.

I still want my electric Colt Plus. Maybe only 2 years away, if the IMieV is any indicator.
Maybe that's it. Maybe the Germans and Americans can't compete on the hybrids/electrics, realize it, and are forfeiting the market.
But I'm confused. It's surprising since the little Benzes seem to be everywhere these days. They apparently don't have anything to offer besides those? Repair costs are high for imports but the Benzes ARE selling. Despite the fact that the Honda Insight sucks, it's a best-seller already. Are the Germans really out of ideas? I don't see the problem.
read Jeremy Clarkson's review of the Insight for a laugh and a head-scratcher. Why would anybody buy it, unless... there was nothing else? Japanese love their Toyotas, but always rate Hondas higher if kakaku.com can be trusted.

Spot on. 10,000 yen annual fees don't really turn my crank either. Neither does the limited acceptance of them. I wish I had a nickel for every time I've seen a VISA and MASTERCARD sign but no AMEX in a restaurant or shop.
This only applies for the real high-rollers.

That's right. It's a terrible year for an auto show. Might as well postpone it 'till next year.

The only way to pressure Japan into moving on this is to deny Japanese citizens certain rights in these countries. It would never happen though, because it would be illegal. They could up the visa ante for Japanese traveling to these countries... hmmm. That would piss off an awful lot of Japanese people.

I estimate the approximate overhead load of each girl on the bottom to be about 105 kg each (45kg times 7 girls divided by 3). No small feat for a young woman. In weightlifting terms, that's an olympic bar with 2 of the big plates on each side.
I'll bet some of the guys criticizing these girls couldn't squat that load, light as it is to someone who does lift weights...like me.

JeffLee, too late for that. The best thing we Canucks can do is to make it appear that he actually is American. I mean, did he at least become American?
